Storyline / Introduction

(There are 8-9 heroes to choose from, i cant decide)

-King's Guard: marine raynor
One day, when you are on your daily guard routine, a mysterious figure appears in front of the king's throneroom. You see that the mysterious figure blasts away the other guards but ignores you (plot twist omgz).
"Who are you?" you ask, but the figure walks past you and enters the throneroom (protect teh king! >_<).
After you shake off the feeling of overwhelming strength of the figure, you quickly rush into the throneroom....

"You're a complete failure!"
The booming voice of your fellow scholar makes you flinch in shock and fear. For the past five months, you have been attempting to create a way to dodge observers easier in the Observer Dodge Realm(durr). Right now, after blowing up the entire lab caused by your miscalculations of the amount of Casilona Powder added to Tarplomion Acid, your dreams of making anything at all, without killing yourself first, seems very unlikely.   
"I'm sorry Artimus, I don't know where my mind is these days... I'll try harder next tim--"
"I don't think so (insert name of this hero)."
"You've been more trouble than good since the day I hired you, so pack whatever you have left that isnt smoldering and leave."

-Drunkard: (my favorite, based on a real observer dodger who gets drunk almost everyday XD) kerrigan (uninfested, becomes infested when drunk)
As usual, you awaken from your home away from home (the bar) with that usual hangover feeling that you've grown accustomed to(use cloaked observers for the effect).
"Welcome back (insert name of this hero), you need help getting off the floor again?"
"Naw....I'm good."
You head towards the counter and the bartender and order a whiskey.
then he goes off in teh woods and dies the end XD jking dunno wut to do with this one... 

-Thief: one of the ghosts..
You see that it's a nice day out in this busy (insert synonym for town), and you feel comfortable with the warm sunlight touching your skin (dont start telling me that the light isnt what warms you but the heat energy is, i dont care, k?). Just as you're about to go up the stairs of the castle/garrison, you hear your stomach growling at you.
"Oh, I almost forgot. I skipped breakfast today."
With a movement impossible to see with the naked eye, you snatch a bag of coins from the person who just passed you.
"This will do" you say as you weigh the bag in your hands.

-Werewolf: ling
.....ill update this later.......You start off in a forest with your wolf pack and stray off course and get lost in the forest, eventually being found by one of the other heroes one of my favorites

-Foreigner: goliath hero
You are a foreigner (no way O.O) who has moved to this area to make money for your family in the north. meh...

-Jester: biggrin.gif infested terran
umm you're a jester for the king and ur losing your touch and must find the ultimate source of entertainment (no jokes about this)

-Champion: fenix
some youngster who's currently the best at dodging observers in the area and enters a competition to find that someone is better than him

-Dreamer/Idealist/Visionary: (might not add this hero or champion in) dragoon
one day he has a dream about him being king and sets out to make that dream come true

-Player Interface
You dodge observers and get to the end to win/achieve a goal. The harder the enemy or the better the prize, the more observers u have to dodge, and i might make you control slower units too.

-Weapons
Using air units as spells. The slower the unit, the better the spell.

-Items
stuff that has nothing to do with dodging observers (ig ball for the jester XD)

-Spells
all the air units

Looks interesting... lol I love the jester idea. Awesome. Looks complicated for just an observer dodge map... although I think I've only played 1 of them before...

hmm...to clear things up, i just want to say that when you battle a monster, you dodge observers and reach the end to win
also, when you have a mission, you dodge observers and get to the end to accomplish that mission

I don't like the terrain. I suggest adding sprites because if you lack the knolege about terrain blending limitations, you should just work with what you have blended that you wanted. Add sprites.

LoL, finally someone replies....
anyways, currently making more terrain-made bosses

Crab boss: you meet in the ocean
Gopher/Mole boss: you meet in the mountain/hill
Eagle boss: you meet in the...high dirt area
Monkey boss: not really a boss, but you get to fight him! biggrin.gif
Mr. Roboto (thinking of new name): meet in dirt area, thinking of making him reappear in the ocean
Sentry boss: you meet in the tower
Skeleton boss: you meet in the mud area above the second city

doesnt look like i'll be finished with it by christmas, maybe ill release a demo or something by then

This map is like a Combat/Evasion sorta game? Where you have to sap enemies while you dodge? IF it is, then it sounds challanging...

the way you fight in this rpg is you make it to the end with your flying units(spells) and hit your target(s)

You should make spells, as your doging going up the path or w/e, that you use spells to clear out obs around you, and you have like 5 ob hits till deaths.. potions..

It looks good though.

I saw the topic name and thought it would be really crappy. The second fact being you made one of the most disgusting comments the other day..

But getting in and reading all the different character story lines, it looks good.

You should make it theres different areas, like, in one small bit it shows the country, and u go to one bit and that brings you to a different bit.. and different terrains have different dodging fields and bonuses.. like jungle badlands high ground, like some units would be vunerable in high terrain, but good in jungle.

meh.
