Is there a way to upgrade by triggers... like... player 1 brings 1 protoss dark templar to location X. Player 1 gets an upgrade.

no not if u want them to go up by 1 when they hit the location; however u can make it so it gives an X amount of minerals to that player so they can upgrade

well thats te problem because they already have X ammount of minerals in the WHOLE GAME because this is just for a minigame... o i just got an idea, when they go in a mini game ill transfer there minerals into krystals then when they are done the krystals will turn back into minerals. ok and is there a way to downgrade?

if your not using gas then why don't you just make upgrades cost gas?

well its for a map called ArcadeAndLaserTag and where Tokens are minerals and tickets are gas.... unless i just make it so u get unlimiting tokens (gameplays).... and i cant really do upgrades anyway unless i can downgrade cause they are like minigames and u can play them over and over but u gotta restart at 0 everytime u lose and restart. but if there is no way to do that i guess i will just do *a new unit* as the upgrade

what if you used death counts for tickets instead?

OMFG how stupid of me. Why don't you just make it so that they don't own the upgrade building until they need to upgrade. Then take it away from them again.

If you're talking normal abilities, all you have to do is give a particular unit with a player who has that respective upgrade to the player receiving it. E.g., if computer P8 has stim pack on by default and gives 1 marine to P1, P1 will now have stim.

This does NOT work on-cue for upgrading damage and armor, which has been deemed in a nutshell impossible.

Well... I have done it this way:
Make a small part of your map with some location with spawning terran civillians after you kill people. Then if there are enough amount of people, swap people with money to the person and centerview the person like crazy until he/she upgrades... Yea, that was stupid...

That's a very... imaginative idea...
How about this?
We give a small base to the comps, and give them money to upgrade a certain upgrade and use the 'Hard Terran Campaign' or something, and then MC it. Will that.. work?

No, that only works with special abilities. This used to be possible with extended actions (both adding and subtracting upgrades) but since they're patched there is no known way to do this.

Just do what i suggested and make upgrades free but they don't own the upgrade building until its necessary. and make the max upgrades only 1.
