I've been messing around with TileEdit, and I'm making some changes to the tileset data (tedious work!). I seem to have figured out most of the workings of the whole thing, but there's one thing that still puzzles me...
In the space platform tileset, the 'Space' tile is really just black (as it appears in the editor), and so are all of it's edge parts. Eventually somewhere ingame it sets this black colour as a transparent colour and has this fixed stary background behind it, for a really neat spacey effect. That's cool, but I don't know where/how that part of it is controlled! I'd like to be able to do this for other tilesets, but I can't figure out how it's done, if it's even possible.
(I've tried black tiles, they don't work, they just look black in-game on other tilesets)
Anyone know anything about this?

I dont know where you would edit what the stars look like but the reason for the tiles being black is cause those are the actual tiles, starcrafts loading engine just places the stars in the background (I dont know what grp the stars are in)
