These are the first three pieces of terrain finished from my current project, they will most likely be the final version but they may be written over for one reason or another.
This map will not be fully extended, it will have several small pieces that will jsut look... nice in there.

Backwards facing ramps on raised jungle, fully walkable.

The final version of das fort. Units can go inside and be seiged by opposing forces.

A bluff that mainly serves as a barrier in front of the first teams base.
(Original raised jungle, cliff blend from WoodenFire, extended on by me.)
It looks cool, IMO. I like the cool tricks you guys do with the terrain (personally, I suck at that). Is this gonna be a map with a story and gameplay, or more like a terrain art gallery map?

The actual map is going to not have any story. At all. But it will have action, oh yes plenty of action.
Yea, thats nice, Lots of flash (action) and no meaning

Just like CSI's Effects

(no sarcasm)
There's nothing wrong with having no story, as long as it's understood there will be no story. Some games are just meant to be played (like chess). I agree with you about CSI though, Law & Order is teh best crime drama.
If you want a basic rundown of the game here it is.
2 computers with moderate armies on opposite sides of a board are engaged in war and 4 human players are one unit in each army.
(1,2 are with computer 1. 2,3 are with computer 2.) This is as far as the story goes, from there on it's jsut a battle sim. With some niftiness thrown in.
The fort looks nice. And the Backwards raised jungle ramp is usefull and doesnt look to blocky but.. what is up with the third?
When I looked at first, I thought I saw alot of blockiness, but when looking closer, I saw that most of it isnt. But a part of it is.. Pretty risky bit of terrain, nice getting the blockiness down.

The third is going to be something like a sniper post, where the computer can siege tanks.
Terrain looks very nice. Good Job.

[sub]The terrian is nothing special. The ramp is not that hard of a blend, and has been around for awhile. The temple thing is just two dodads with a pathetic attempt to blend them together, have of the actual tiles that belnd the peices together are blocky. The last cliff is about 99% WoodenFire's work, with a simple bridge blend to make a ramp, is thats whats so cool about your extention?

Actually teh part you say is 99% woodenfire's work is 2 of his blends but in Crescent Dyne it's all mirrors, I elimated that.
The thing you say two doodads smooshed together simply isn't, your obviously not looking at it very decicvely.
And the backramp raised jungle blend I've never seen in a map. So I came up with it myself.
By removing my mirrors, you sacrificed perfect blends, for blockiness... That is a sign of a newbish attempt to i would say...
Paraphrase someones terrain? Mine.
(I don't care, Lol)

I'm likely to change some things in that one before final version.
I like the second one (the temple), it blends in very well and it's not block at all/
[sub]Lmao, to me it looks like you used the scourge on the second pic to cover up some blockyness.[/sub]
i think there ok but blocky and nothing really speical lol XD but i like it

Try the middle, 3-4 blocks up

Looking good Syphon. I like the fort, even if there's a little bit of blockiness.
When's this going to be done?
Looks good so far

Maybe soon, maybe later, you can't tell by that minimap as it's not from the actual map. I want to keep most of it secret.
If you need any help, or the latest DDB, just msg WoodenFire@UsEast.

Ya, but you're never on

Actually the terrain in the actual map is done, but remeber it's for function, not flash.
I'm moving onto control panels and triggering.
thats awesome, thats the first time i've seen that be done with the raised jungle and high dirt, good work, and that could be good for a like forest to mountain scene
That terrain looks tight and well done. Keep it up and you can make a neighborhood of them
