Don't test center view triggers in single player, they act extremely differently.

The main thing I always noticed is that it scrolled accross the map to get there instead of going there instantly.

Try making a multiplayer LAN game with only you in it if you cannot connect to the internet when making your maps, center view will still act like it does online.

i think it holding it in the position is due to wait blocks. but i am not entirely sure. just do what fritfrat said and make it online LAN to test center view triggers

Do you have hyper triggers on? If you do, delete them and make a whole new set. I have learned that when you are messing with timing for a trigger and you have the hyper triggers already in the map, then it doesn't read the timing correctly.
