Staredit Network -> UMS Assistance -> Wacky moving units

I've seen in a lot of maps usually where people put units with names of their friends the units move crazy fast and missile turrets spin insanely. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks.

Its pretty simple but you need a certain type of editer other than campaign, so get starforge then put a location in the are u want the units to go "wacky" in. go to triggers then do RunAiScriptAt(SetUnitOrderTo: junk yard dog, "location". then preserve trigger, simple as that.

Seems like you're asking two different questions.

For changing the names of units to that of your friends, use any map editor and click find the Unit Properties menu. That's where you change the name and hp and attack strength etc.

For making units move crazy fast, you need a different map editor like starforge and theres a tutorial to help you:

If you want the units to move really fast, then turn on some Hyper Triggers along with the Junk Yard Dog AI Script. That way it looks a lor cooler. interested.gif

Looks cool, but barely controlable, so the uses are limited. I did use that in my drill defense map for the banner haha. So the medics were moving crazily around the dark archon. And it was very hard for the players to run away lol.

So if you are asking about unit colors, again get starforge because it has color codes next to the unit name box so gl.

Right here in the Tutorial Database

Try to check it before asking other questions.

Ok thank you for all your help I will try searching next time. I still don't understand many things about making maps, I know how to do triggers and I can make pretty good maps, just now I want to get a little more advanced. I don't understand how adding those kind of triggers full of waits makes the triggers fire faster, but I guess it works somehow.

In the tutorial of Hyper Triggers it will explain that for ya. I don't know quite myself since I am not much of a knowlegable programer but the information is in there if you wanted to look at it.
