Now I've read everything in the tutorials about hyper triggers (at least I think), and just to make sure I'm getting things right...
Hyper triggers fire everything at (x) time faster on all triggers except it waits for wait triggers like it would be normal right?
Instead of having a 6-wait hyper trigger firing a wait 6000 trigger six times faster, so that it becomes a wait 1000, right?
Also, hyper triggers simply fire triggers faster, right? It wont trip one thing earlier than the other?

It should, just make sure the triggers with 'wait actions' arn't in the same force with the hyper triggers.

From what I'm trying to comprehend here, it sounds like you're asking whether or not hyper triggers speed up 'wait actions'. No they don't.
Hyper triggers just make triggers with preserve trigger happen about 12x per second, instead of once every 2 seconds. They won't speed up anything else in a trigger.
All you is put it in any players place. put 0 wait press atl c i think and it wil copy it continuasly and once you reach bottum delete 2, preserve trigger, comment with no name and then copy them a couple times. it helps the map with with almost everything. Like bounds, and units and etc.
hyper triggers are this,

But copy the trigger like 20 times so it does it all the time.
Note: Hyper Triggers Go 12x P/S, And Without Hyper Triggers, Other Triggers Go 2x P/S.
I know what hyper triggers ARE, I just wasn't exactly sure about everything they do...
But I think i get most of the parts
So you understand now?
good to know. there a useful invention. who found out about hyper triggers in the first place? im sure this was the biggest thing since Stacking in game when it happened
Oh so hyper triggers are pretty recent? I hate the stacked thing -_- stacked sunkens and whatnot. It was cool at first but then it either got lame because people stacked way too much and the things barely attack, or the game becomes too easy because you've stacked everything here and there. I remember stacking sunkens (which i have noticed doesn't work anymore...) so that zerglings can't get through... that just makes it too easy (IMO).
But here's an idea for stack usage

You have to pile a certain amount of your cannon or whatever building being stacked at a certain location for points. The more you have, the stronger you become. This can be well expanded for games like Rome... in your home town, and only there can you build a stack of cannons for your city and has to be capped at a number based on the size of your empire?

Hyper triggers came about very slowly, there was never a explotion of excitement because people don't instantly understand it. I belive there multiple people have discovered it on there own, I doubt anyone knows who was first.
I learned about hyper triggers early in 2002. At that time the mapmaking community wasn't as sharing of information as they are now. It used to be if you found out something really cool you would keep it to yourself so you could prove your skill over others, you might tell a few friends or clan members and thats it. I remember posting a "
tricks" section on a old Clan (U) website and I made alot of people mad because I was giving out their secrets.
Ahhh, I see. I have to admit, there are/were a few things I wanted to keep to myself, release it, and with enough feedback, I would share the technique. Most of these things have already been discovered and people get so angry when an unknowing person posts something that's been posted some x years ago... so I never really posted anything. People's... immature reaction are the ones that really keep me from sharing now. I don't want to post something that I thought was "omg-so-cool" and then have someone post something like
"That's so 2003, post something new" or "Dont copy other people's ideas and make it your own."
Yeh that sucks.
i was never into mappin before late 2003'ish, but that sounds lame. Individual superiority by keeping new things off others.. that must of sucked..
Oh wow! I saw that site when i first started mapping and thought "that guy is amazing."
im going to have a read again and remember some good ol' times..
I remember the first time i figured out how to mass. I made like 4 maps in 24 godamm hours..
non of which were good.
Bolt, i need to talk to you sometime, im making an rpg, and it needs atmosphere, and several people have told me that you are good with things like that.
In almost every map it is a benefit to have hyper triggers, exept in some masses becuase then units will spawn too quickly (although there are ways to get around this)
I'm having a problem...
When I have hyper trigger set on All Players, it messes everything up when I have a wait on any player. Can I not have hyper triggers on players that have waits?
