You might look in some of the proboards that people have and you will notice that when you post in there that there is an option to have a shadow effect on text that you post. I thought this would be a cool idea to add to SEN v5 or even in this version of SEN. This text is pretty cool but you might have to make options for the text as in which way the shadow falls (up, down, left, or right), the length of the shadow (not a big difference but if you want to get technical about the length then you might want to set this up), and the color of the shadow.

I figured that a lot of people would like something like this to have in thier posts that they make.

None of this seems neccesary, and IP has enough work to do with SEN v5 and all...
But maybe he can fit it in... or maybe it can cost minerals or something..

I can agree with the whole cost minerals... but I would see that being something you buy and then always having. How could something this little be a big problem to put in anyway? Does it take up a lot of width?

Shadow doesn't appear in Firefox.
It'll make text harder to read and possibly almost impossible.
People will overabuse it with insane color rainbows.

We had Shadow and Glowing posts in SeNv3, but it was removed due to the above reasons.

Yes, another thing people will abuse... Just like the bold and color tag.

(After a breif coughing session)

I really think this is all we need, and anyway, only sucky IE peoples will see it, like BeeR said. We're really trying to get rid of IE here, and adding shadow wont help.

It'll be about as visible as our glowing names and titles to Firefox users.

Just A Question But Does That Mean You Name And Custom Member Title Aren't Visible In Firefox?

And, Your Member Name And Custom Member Title Are In Shadow, Does That Mean I Can't Read It?

Oh, And Another Thing, People Can Already Abuse Color "Rainbows"

I Don't See How A Shadow Applys To The Color.

The glowing names arn't visible in Opera either... but shadow is...

This was only a thought. I didn't know that the shadow ussage would be used in the wrong way...

I hope I am not going against the color and bold thing. I love the color orange and all my posts have the color orange and bold in them...

It's easy to read red on a black background. Try reading white text on yellow shadow.
My member name and title(I'm not sure about the title) are both glowing but I can't see them because Firefox won't support it.

Nah, your bold and color are uniform and it's easy to read. One color for the whole text is fine unless to need to emphasize something else, but other than that, don't use more than one color.

Yeah, now to think of it, it will be sort of hard to read on the SEN V5 background.
If you use a post background, it might be even harder.

I understand what your saying about the color and what not... This was only a thought, thanks for replying.
