Staredit Network -> UMS Assistance -> Spawn a working! darkswarm at location.

I need to spawn a darkswarm that isn't just a sprite but is a working darkswarm. I can think of 2 ways to do this both of which I unfornatly lack the skills to do (Aparently)

1: Place a inv. Burrowed Defiler at location; Owned by a computer of course. Have defiler unburrow. Have defiler cast darkswarm. Have defiler reburrow.

Timing, Energy, Ect. I can do. However making that Defiler cast darkswarm I can't; So here I'm looking for a AI Strip that will make it cast darkswarm.

2: Spawn a darkcloud at location.

Unforantly I can only figure out how to make the spirte appear; and while making 'dust clouds' looks nice; it doesn't do what I want.

If anyone goes; "Ya those will work but this is an easier way..." Feel free to tell me that instead. Unless you try and tell me just use Disrupter web; I want darkswarms flaws to siege weapons and close combat units.

If anyone thinks this is impossible; Tell me that too.

You can't create dark swarms, since they are owned by player 12 and those actions don't seem to work. There is no AI script to make a defiler cast dark swarm. What you can do though, is have a dark swarm pre-placed and then move it to the location (At least I'm pretty sure you can). Or if you want the dark swarm there from the beginning of the game you could just have it pre-placed there.

No, that just creates the sprite of a darkswarm; which just looks pretty. I want a working one.

Uhhh.. Were you in sprite layer, or unit layer? They work for me.. Oh, did you place them for Player 12? For players 1-8 I don't think they work.

Did you check the tutorials for it?

I know theres one about AI sciprts around sumwhere.

yeah darkswarm is a unit so it can be preplaced and moved. But i think they disapear if preplaced.

That's what the tutorial says so even they have trouble coaxing the defiler to use dark swarm. But as Wheat said, in Starforge Darkswarm is a pre-placable unit right next to scanner sweep and disruption web.
