What editor are you using? Are there any other details you can tell us about what you are doing?

Try using StarEdit or SCXE to start your map.

Its pretty much a hostage map in an office, were you can disarm bombs, save a hostage, and have to get more ammo. Im using starforge because I need the square terrain.

EDIT - Ill try using other editors I guess, if it works I'll close this topic.
EDIT2 - Nope didnt work

ADDITION:
Is anyone at all willing to help me out?

When I say start, I mean create a new map and such.

SF creates a map with default terrain as null.

I'm not an expert at starforge, but I generally like to get the layout of the map done with a normal editor and keep a physical or mental note of where I want things how (terrain-wise) then do the entire game, then open it up with starforge and do those pars I want to do.
