On my newly updated METROID RPG map, the sound that is supposed to play when a unit picks up an item refuses to play. However, in the older versions of the map, the sound plays. What's going on? All I did was fix a few things. I tried removing my new hyper triggers, and that didn't work. I tried other things and still nothing. I used Uberation to protect the map. Did uberation cause something?
With this post I'm including an unprotected version of vFR, a protected one, and an older version, about v9.
When you say that you removed your hyper triggers... do you mean that in there not there anymore? Try putting a brand new set of them in right in the all players slot or something like that, it might help.
I don't know any other problem that could be causing this to happen...
I tried the map with hyper triggers in them. The sound didn't play. I took them out. Still didn't play. I put them back in...still nothing. I don't think they did anything.
I looked at the new version... Try to place those other triggers for different players if you can... hum.... I am still looking at it and I can't find anyting... I can't seem to find what your problem is...
Try picking up an item in the old version. Now try picking one up in the new version. Hear the difference? Sounds>Blank air
What editor did you use to "edit" your map to the newer version?
Try starting from your old map and redoing the things you did to the new version. When I say redo I mean that in the trigger sence... not the unit placement sence on the map...
Try that. I know that it is a lot of work but maybe that will work for ya. Really the only things I changed were the heal switches, the anti-lift off, and adding hyper triggers. Really not that hard to fix. Still a pain in the arse, though.
Did you compress with uberation? I'm probably mistaken with proedit. However, this may cause glitches in you map, much like your sounds. Another problem could be where you have your hypertriggers. Perhaps create a computer that's completely made of hyper triggers.
I think I might've screwed something up in uberation. I dunno.
The hyper triggers had no adverse effects, since the sounds didn't play even when I removed them.
