When in an editor like SCM Draft you will see at the top it has the player, select that player and place the unit.

You can either pre-place the units for a certain player (like an enemy comp) or you can place them for a neurtal player and give them to an enemy comp or the human player (or whatever you're wanting) whenever they get close enough.

Thnx guys I didn't notice that tab before. But is there any way to do it with the doodad placer?
Or does it make a difference?

I always place them for different players under the "units" section for traps, so they already have an owner. The ones you place as doodads are for decorative purposes (I think, don't quote me on that).

No, they're functional. But I wanted them to fit in seemlesly with the wall.

you need to use the proper tileset map. i think for wall traps and such its installation

In Starforge, just click the turret under doodads and change the number to whatever you want.

I just wanted it to fit in seemlesly with the wall, the same way it would if you placed it as a doodad. Starforge doesn't even have a doodad layer. I can place them as a unit, but I want it to fit exactly witht the wall, as if I placed it as a doodad.

No, I am in the installation tileset, but when I do what you say, how do I control what player the trap goes to?

At the very top of the editor there is a thing that shows which player the unit will go to. You can edit this by simply clicking on the dropbox and selecting a player...

You could also place the unit and highlight it then hit enter to view the unit proporites (cloak, transit, borrowed... etc). You can also change the player owner from there.
