Lol...Nice mixing and playing around with the Terrain...Anyway...What is it supposed to be? Like some cliff in the sea or a landing pad?

I have done both of these. Nothing new.

2/10

The only one that shows creativity is the one at the top. It isn't ingenious... and blatently obvious to be blended... but, it is useless. Unless you figure out how to perfectly end both west and east sides into normal sized terrain or backwards facing terrain to end it more abruptly.

Not bad though. Not bad for just a few ideas posted. Don't let my rating annoy you or you will fall on the path of many before you who think my rating is arrogent and unwanted.

To improove the bottom I would recogmend you learn how to properly use ruins tiles... :l And for the top, there is a better pair of blending tiles that happens on the longer bridge which has less-darkened, and more FULL feeling sidelines which will blend better against the colors, shapes, and shadows found around those tiles on the temple doodad. I would give top the 2/10, and the bottom 0/10. If I was to rate seperately. Bottom is just repetitive doodad cut-pieces.

You have to realize that coming up with a terrain blend that works repetitively is useless unless both sides, top/bottom can be worked into natural terrain or a transisition custom doodad, ramp, cliff piece, reverse watercliffs, etc...

yeah the bottom one has already been made, i myself had not seen the top one however as wooden said you didn't find the pieces to blend perfectly some things im able to see there, the idea is pretty good keep up the good job and you might be the next "profesional terrain maker" cough* be careful wooden*cough

PD: wooden owns my sigantures

2/10? lol, but I think it's sort of low. I would have given it a little higher biggrin.gif

Just my two cents

2/10 means wooden likes it
1/10 means wooden doesn't like it, hates it, seen it before, etc.

wooden should just rate out of 2 because he will never get any higher than that.

The top one i like except for that tiny corner of grass, but theres nothin you can do about it unless you want to repeat sprites (which would be dumb)

8/10 top relatively easy but original
7/10 bottom easy, done before, but nice and smooth as it should be

I've gotten higher than 2 (I think.)and I believe rantent and glytcher have too.

None of this goes higher than 3/10 for me though.

hehe. i cant wait until i finish my forest map. i will get higher than 3/10 MWAHAHAHA!
i like the top one from the first post, and the sencon post ones aren't very good unless you use them for jungle ground (and not water). they're all right. good work though.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by NerdyTerdy on 2005-12-22 at 20:42:23
Top one in first post looks original, but it's blocky, second one however not very original, but not too blocky.. 4/10? I'm not too good at rating.

Im speachless.

1/10 for the other stuff...

Where did the strive for perfect blends go? You have lost your sight of the potential for perfect blends.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Sie_Sayoka on 2005-12-23 at 02:41:21
lol sorry i was just showing potential things. i didnt mean them to be blended well. im just trying out new stuffs

once i get back to L.A. i can show u some of my terrain with coastal and stuff

4/10 for effort

4/10 for blending

3/10 for originality

by all means its good terrain

u should start up another rp with this stuff, it'll be cool
