i need to know how to use only parts of a peice of terrain(like using a part of facility over dirt without the edges) can someone please help me

You need to download starforge or scm draft 2. They let you use square (tile) terrain. You can download them here in the download database. If you want to make terrain from one small piece your best of with scm draft 2

yep, both starforge and scmdraft are map editors that can place both isometrical terrain and squared terrain ScmDraft Here Starforge Here
