Staredit Network

Staredit Network -> UMS Assistance -> More than 3 lvls of upgrading?

This is probably the last detail I'll need to settle before I can start fully working on the content of my map. How do you allow people to get their upgrades above level 3? Is there any way to do it without an editor? If not, what editor do I need, and could you either email it to me, link it, or attach it?

This is for classic starcraft, but the solution is probably the same.

Oh and while I'm here, do I need some kind of editor to change text colors? Can anyone link me to some editors (preferably those that work with classic, but I'll get bw soon, so I'll need the bw ones as well. Please tell me which are which)

Thanks in advance, and don't hate me just b/c I have one post tongue.gif

Map editors:
Xtra Editor
SCMdraft 2 BETA
StarForge

You'll probably want to get Xtra Editor. It can do lots of things the normal editor can't. You can set upgrades as high as 255 and insert colors into your text with it.

You are right, but he should be best of with xtra editor as it is easy to use and unlike starforge dont have to enter the triggers yourself.

That's why I use the original campaign editor and then modify with starforge tongue.gif

X-tra is best for beginners, or simply if you don't want any possible bugs. It's least buggy, but has less 'Expert' features such as 100% + life, using sc sounds, etc.

I advise sticking with X-tra (I usually use it anyway, scmdraft2 and starforge are faster but each has its faults), it has everything you need for most map types.

Thanks a ton, starforge is sweet happy.gif

1st one doesn't work (probably because I use classic), but I'm very satisfied with the functionality of starforge. Problem solved

If classic isn't working try special it works like star forge as you can stack but if you are going to stack don't use extra as it is messy and with starforge you can have it in a straight line biggrin.gif

And in a single pixel, for that matter. (Stacked, so it looks like one building)
