Opinion Poll Rules
1. Statements of opinion must be thorough and thought out. Blatant exclamations of "IDIOT!!", for example, will not be tolerated.
2. No flaming people while stating your opinion.
3. A new opinion poll will be posted weekly.
4. Please keep the discussion mature, meaning don't go into inappropriate graphic detail.
Last Week: A small majority was scared by the "mexican takeover".
This Week: It's a classic teenage debate. Are love and lust different things?
My Response: Heck no. I'd do best to quote MillenniumArmy.

In my opinion love is a combination of lust and friendship.
Your best friends with the girl/guy and really enjoy being around them and you two have GREAT fun and jsut generally enjoy each other's company. And then you physically love some one and want to have sex/get on them, which is lust.
You can want to have sex with some one becuase of their body but not emotionally like them as a person.

Love and lust are different things. I think Chris put it very well. I feel lust for tons of women, but I might love them if any of them turned out to be decent human beings.

Lust is about yourself, your own pleasure, and your desire to fark. Love is about your girl/guy. It's about you caring for him or her.

Yeah, somehow "hot" tends to equate to "dumb blonde". Great for parties, but definently not what you'd want to spend the rest of your life with. I dunno, I don't want the kind of person who gawks at my intelligence.

It's true. At least to me, a good ninety percent fall much closer to "love" than "lust".
I think "beautiful" and "hot" make two different adjectives for the few.

Sam is hot and not a dumb blonde. I think love and lust are completely seperate things, also DTBK in these weekly opinion polls I think you should keep your opinion hidden for a while, someone's vote might be influenced by yours
. Also I think Sam is hot as hell, but she's not someone I'd want to meet at a party and get laid, I have higher hopes for her. I probably should drop those hopes soon though. Anyhow, hot/beautiful doesn't always mean the different between love/lust. Hot is not always a dumb blonde type description. The action of doing something hot is used alot. Such as
"The way you move your tongue is hot"
Or something to that extent.
