I'm working on... something... that would greatly benefit from EUD Text Detection. Now, I have a question for all you memory wizards out there.

In single player (offline), text doesn't seem to show up at all. Would EUDs still detect it? I don't really want to make triggers to detect names 3-16 characters... sad.gif

Don't even bother posting if you don't know the answer or are gonna spam like that. And Voyager, what do you mean it won't show up at all?

I would think that the game would detect the text since it detects it when you put cheats in. I don't think it requires you to put in each username of the offline person (name you select before entering the choosable campain option screen). Try it and see if things work.

When you type in text (besides a cheat) in offline single player games it just disappears. I'm not sure if EUDs will still detect it or not, though.

And Pyro_Maniak, EUD Text Detection are triggers that let you... well... detect text.

No, it won't unfortunately, but you could just tell them to play it on battle.net alone and tell them to make any X character name, though that is somewhat inconvenient, but not too hard to get just one person to do it since it's only for one player.

I would recommend making it for players with 6 characters (or 10) in their name, that way you can easily detect the text by bytes 9-12 and so on, since bytes 1-8 would be '<name> :' (in the case of 10 character name bytes 1-12)
