I am fine with people having pride in ones self. But do you have to tell everyone else? If a white person has a name "whitepride" or something similar we get called a skin head or a nazi. And people generally stereotype asians with being naturally smarter. So why ruin that "good" stereotype with spelling things horribly wrong.
eg. azn I'm just confused that people who have so much pride in their ethnicity would ruin their generally good reputation by not even spelling their own origin right. I mean I guess it's just my opinion but I thought I would bring the topic up.

Please post your opinions I would like to see reasons.

I am sure that this topic has been posted before, but it was probably on basis of flaming. This is supposed to be a serious but not so serious discussion.

Well, I'm 25% asian. I've heard the term "asian pride" everyonce in awhile. I've never really thought twice about it. Having pride is fine as long as your not ignorant/racist about it. I think Asians are stereotyped to be smarter mainly because the fact back in Japan far instance kids go to school almost everyday. Also, a lot of asian parents tend to be really strict on school for some reason.Iono what Valug is talking about because I haven't really heard any stereotypes about jews being smart.

Does it really matter?
Who cares if they have asian pride?
Let them spell Asian however they want.

Wannabe asians tend to put "azn" or "aznpride" in their name, I absolutely hate it. They never really are asian anyways.

I've noticed that every "gangsta" asian in my school is dumb.

I noticed that a lot of people who are racist or the complete opposite, usually don't have many black friends. Yes, they do have that one black guy that they know. But in most cases, for the people I know, they don't have many black friends at all. And by black, I mean stereotype wise. The lotr black kid that you know, does not count. I'm talking at least half gangstaization here.

I have a few black friends. None of them really share any hobbies or whatever... We like sports though.

Europe works less. (Aka, they get way more holiday time)

On my missions trip to mexico last summer, we met a korean team from LA California and they were really messed up...

There's this fad going on around their church or something where they would sing the Gangster song by Josh Groban to each other. I happened to know most of the song and when I heard them singing it amongst themselves, I joined them and then all of a sudden, they seemed to have accepted me and considered me a Korean -_-
I even knew more of the song than they did. I had to teach them more than just the few lines they would chant.

omfg I totally hate Asian pride. Especially those Chinese who in my school calls themselves ABA (American born Asian) i mean my god they think their so cool. Well i guess ABA is more like not Asian pride. Well back on subject, Asian pride is more like making fun of yourself and try to make yourself more fit in while actually I think lowing their own pride. Because I see some kids laughing while saying it. Also I have no clue why you have to say asian pride to actually be proud of your own race. Word isn’t worth anything to be really proud of yourself you have to act.
