I think it only work if the lurkers belon to human players. Enable burrow for computer and disable it for human. I'm not sure though.

Burrow is always enabled for lurkers. :/

eh? so computer players can always unburrow?

Uhh you could make a location that sets the ai to auto burrow when the lurker hits it like the lurkers do in some bounds but im not sure if it works underground

But if you disable burrowing, completely take it out, meaning no greyed out burrow icon then lurkers can't burrow.

I'm pretty sure they still can, even if you do that confused.gif

No they can't, at least not for humans. Computers can ALWAYS unburrow, since they aren't supposed to have burrowed units with burrow disabled to begin with.

so no way for burrowed computer lurks to stop unburrowin?

It's been discussed. Computers have some abilities no matter what. Siege, burrow...

Nope, though I don't think a neutral player will unburrow when given a unit.

You need to give it to a neutral player. If you give a burrowed lurker to a computer player, it will automatically unburrow than burrow again.

I learned it the hard way, making the game bounds. I wanted it to be playable on single player, but I needed neutral players so they wouldn't unburrow durring the bound. sad.gif

You could have a small location over the Lurkers and have them being ordered to move constantly (preserve trigger) to that location (while a certain switch is set), so they will always be moving to it. As you know, Lurkers unborrow in order to follow a move command. You could disable the switch when the human player gets close enough. To the human player, it will look like the lurker is just standing there, but they are constantly being ordered to move to the location where they're standing.

I haven't actually tried THAT, but it's similar to something I've done, so it should work.

They'll be unburrowed, though. He needs them to stay burrowed no matter what...the only thing I can think of is to make it neutral and then turn to comp when a player gets within range.

Hahaha. I totally read the question wrong. Discard what I said then.

Back in the day, I once made a team lurker defense map in which lurkers appeared for a neutral player whenever a human player left the game.

Neutral players can still attack enemies. I believe I just used a "set player 8 to enemy" and called it a day smile.gif

I believe siege doesnt work.

Also, if the computer is constantly attacking, i doubt it would unburrow

That doesn't matter on whether it is neutral or not. Simply alter the alliance status for them and they will attack. You can't run AI scripts or anything special (I think) but neutral players are basically the same as normal computers.

No, it will still unburrow since Blizzard did not expect people to do things like this, and didn't make them make sure they have burrow researched to unburrow.

Huh? If you move a unit right in front of a siege tank in siege mode, it will go out of siege mode even if they don't have it researched. I'm not sure if it does this for hero tanks though.
