It has to do with posts that are made in mineral earning forums that are of a minimum character length. I have around 1000 posts in null, but only about 480-something posts that count.

Posts under the number of characters equal to (pi * moose's age) or less don't increment your post count. They do add to the number of posts you have in a specific forum, however.

Total Cumulative Posts 579
( 3.2 posts per day / 0.16% of total forum posts )
Most active in Null
( 1935 posts / 50% of this member's active posts )

Guess this means I have 3870 posts since July. I need a life.

This would be an example of a post which doesn't increment post count.

It's more like (2pi * moose's age)

Nope.

If a post in made in a forum in which it does not give minerals, your overall post count will not be increaed.
If a post in made in a forum that gives minerals but is under 2pi*Moose's Age, your post count will not be increased and you will not recieve minerals.
To know wether or not a specific forum gives minerals, just look at the icon next to the forum title.

This will no be an issue in SeNv5 as all post, no matter where they are done or how many characters they have, will add up to your post count.

And yes, Moose is old comparing to the average age on SeN. Heck, even I'm old for that matter.

Yes cumulative post counts will be all posts, doesn't matter what they are. And next time, be a bit more carefull with abreviations. It took me a while to figure out what you were really trying to say instead of the perverted thing that first came to my mind tongue.gif

So, when v5 starts I'll have some 7700-odd posts?

Or will the adding only start after v5?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by BeeR_KeG on 2006-01-05 at 09:29:57
Yes, to know your current all time post count, just go into your profile and look at all the posts. Multiply the number of pages*25 and you will get a rough idea about how many you got.

I got 211 pages, so that means I'll have about 5,300 posts.

The adding will most probably start at the end of SeNv5 Beta in which we will check if the numbers add up correctly. SeNv5 will be up and running as intended before it is released. We will start updating SeNv4's data into SeNv5 with as very little downtime possible. Tutorials will most probably go first, then the DLDB, the forums and then user accounts.

After one section of SeNv5 has been fully updated, it will be closed on SeNv4.
IE: When we update the DLDB, no more submissions will be aproved, they will be automatically transfered to the SeNv5 DLDB Admin section. There will also be a "Void" point where nothing that is logged on SeNv4 will make it onto SeNv5. By this time, we expect to have shut down almost everything except the Null Forum.

Faster way is posts in highest post forum by you and total %.

I'm just wondering if the post count will be re-synced to include pre-v5 noncumulative posts.

Moose is 7.926 years old? (Assuming 50 characters is the minimum to get a post)

Just a little side note... While I was at school, I saw this shirt that said
