You know I'm not sure about the war, I could probably be argued either way. Lots of people argue that the government needs to be changed. Thats way to idealistic for me.

I mean look at Pakistans history.
QUOTE
Officially a federal republic, Pakistan has had a long history of alternating periods of electoral democracy and authoritarian military government. Military presidents include General Ayub Khan in the 1960s, General Zia-ul-Haq in the 1980s, and General Pervez Musharraf from 1999. A majority of Pakistan's Heads of State and Heads of Government have been elected civilian leaders. The most recent general elections were held in October 2002. After monitoring the October 2002 elections, the Commonwealth Observer Group stated in its report, "We believe that on election day this was a credible election: the will of the people was expressed and the results reflected their wishes." [1] On May 22, 2004, the Commonwealth Ministerial Action Group re-admitted Pakistan into the Commonwealth, formally acknowledging "the progress made in restoring democracy and rebuilding democratic institutions in Pakistan."

A great deal of a military despotism, they worked out for themselves a republic. With plenty of growing pains, what right do we have to force a nation to grow up?

YOU ARE WARNED! Be Warned - You look at these pictures knowing that these are from a war. If you do not know what goes on in wars do not look at these pictures.
Iraq war. - GRAPHIC

Was it worth the war or not and for what reasons; what do you think of the war? I think to give a good answer you need to see the effects of war but its up to you.

I think it was a mistake to go into Iraq. If we really wanted Saddam out of power all we should have done was sent in some D-boys to get the job done (Delta Force).

BUT:

As long as we are in Iraq I think we have(should) done(do) some good. As long as we are there we should help get the Iraqis back onto their feet.

And with all those photos come x10 good ones. Of Iraqi children finally being able to go to school in unbias learning systems. Of Iraqi news not being censored anymore by Saddam. Of Iraqi court systems being relativaly fair now (you won't get your hand cut off etc). The list goes on.

I agree with Chris. It may not have been the right thing to do to go to war, but we're there, and we are helping. The media only gives pictures of what they want to give; when my friend's father came back, he had a lot of positive pictures, such as them setting up a well to get clean drinking water, indoor AC, and there was one of a little girl hugging him. It was cute.l

There are three sides to every story - ours, theirs and the truth.

I think that the media likes to play up the bad side of the war, while the military likes to emphasise the good things that the US is trying to do. It's most likely to be somewhere in between. Life goes on in Iraq, just with a greater threat of violence than in a Western country.

Theres a truth to things? I always though it was just ours and theirs.

We probably are helping out in Iraq, but I have to agree with the Captain, the media does not show very many positive images about anything. If there's something bad happening in Iraq, they focus on that, instead of showing images like Kame said.

The media always focuses on the negative, never the positive.

The United States Media should be shot for the way they've degraded themselves.

For once I agree with Chris. It was a terrible an unbased mistake to go into Iraq in the first place, but we're there like it or not. It is our duty, now that we decended Iraq into anarchy, to repair it to a civilized form of government.

If you paid attention to my post you dolt, you would see I was talking about Bush.

You do realize you wouldn't be able to get oil right away, takes years to set itall up, to have a stable supply route. If you would notice, Bush and Blair have announced the oil belongs to the UN, not to iraq anymore.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by TheDaddy0420 on 2006-01-13 at 18:38:17
I came to believe the UN were the ones buying the oil, but not owning it....

Plus I don't think American companies really need Iraq, I mean they are going to Libya right now...

I like the war, we need more wars. Then the world would be a better place.

In all seriousness I think the war is caused by global warming. When people are hot the tend to be more iratable and prone to fighting. World leaders are people too.

You farktard. Why spam this thread with your moronic replies?

And if you're truely honest about wanting more wars, you're twisted.

Stop flaming my opinion.

QUOTE(rules)
Please be open minded. There is no right or wrong answer.

I'll back up my more wars more love policy.

Usually wars are declared on nations that mistreat their people, or are doing something dangerous.

The morally right side of the war gets the most support, and wins the war. We overthrow their government and make things better for perhaps millions of people.

Other nations may follow the trend and within several years almost all countries will be civil and well behaved.

SO if we don't want wars in the future with say, mass nukeings. We have simple wars now en mass.

This is a verbal warning for disruptive posting (Syphon) and flaming (Kellimus).

Don't wind each other up, please.

In the words of Rantant: www.walken2008.com

He gets my vote if it's real. And no. Not just because of his histories, but because of his views.
