Please state why you believe while you are at it. And dont make up some lame excuse like 'I believe cuz Im a Christian' or 'I dont beleive cuz there is no proof' OR 'I believe because _________ told me' (can be Bible, mother, father pastor, w/e)
Something more or less like:
I believe because once a bully was about to kill me and he fainted right on the spot and died.
OR
I do not believe because God killed my family and is holding my life as hostage. Give some reason...
Addition:
I put no/yes because some people believe in a sacred book but not God. so..
yes/yes because I have seen enough for me to say that I firmly beleive in God. I have seen many works that seem quite impossible happen, such as AIDS/HIV being cured, cancer being cured without a doctor, and some other things. Though that may not be enough for others to believe in God, it is for me.
The Bible can be quite related. As someone has said in this topic, why put no/yes. God comes from the Bible. I would also like to say that in the Bible it says that through men moved by the Holy Spirit, the Bible is written. Also said that all scripture is God breathed and is useful in teaching, reproof, correction and training in righteoussness.
I believe in the Bible because it relates quite a lot to myself. The stories in it may be quite far-fetched, but if you read it carefully dissecting a good translation of the Bible, I found many things that are quite useful in doing many things.
-that is my testimony (i guess)

I will put in my answer later.

That's not really a lame excuse from a logical standpoint.
Negative. To me the whole Bible thing is just a bloated sack of parables.

I wasnt saying it was lame as in they are stupid, but just used so often it gets kind of annoying.
whats the difference between no/yes and yes/no?
no/yes
no God Bible is real
yes/no
Gods real Bibles fake
I believe in God.
The Holy Bible is just a book that has historical references. It's just a book of moral teachings.
ADDITION:
I believe in God.
The Holy Bible is just a book that has historical references. It's just a book of moral teachings. So I am indifferent on The Holy Bible.

should have put that in poll then

i voted that theres no god yet bible is real, i really meant god's real bible is a bunch of bs.
yeah the answer no/yes is dumb.
the Bible is based on God so thats like reading lotr with no frodo
I'm whole standing with God, but much of the old testement. (And parts of the new etstement) come under my screutiny. I voted Yes/NO, simply because Parts of the bible are too ilogical.
I voted No/No, because I just think it all is lies and lies
I said Yes/No. I believe there is a God as a variable to hold place of the unexplainable. I don't believe the Bible is completely accurate, after all, It was written by a human.
I don't believe in God. To see me it seems an irrational idea without any observable evidence.
As for the Bible, while I believe most of the stories have been exaggerated I understand that they do suggest some good ideas to live by to keep the peace you might say.
My answer; No/No
I assume when you say god you are referring to the christian one.
No/No. Not enough proof.. Also, in the end, God doesn't do anything for me.
I don't believe in god just because I don't beliveve theres such thing as super naturals.
The bible is kind of different though. Sometimes it is historicaly correct. I believe some of the parts where theres not much god junk such as noah ark and adam and eve, but the ones that are just plain old events i believe like theres something in there about a city called pompay (can't spell it) and it just says that the city was destroyed in a volcano, which is true.
I don't mean to be rude, but you do realise that you have created a logical fallacy by saying: "I don't believe in god just because I don't beliveve theres such thing as super naturals", don't you?
No, actually, that's rather solid, albeit poorly phrased.
Person X does not believe in supernatural entities.
Person X defines God as a supernatural entity.
Therefore, Person X does not believe in God.
And you don't need to say "logical fallacy." The word fallacy implies an absence of logic.
No/No because I think its all lies and false hope. Like I said in Loser_Musician's "Atheist's Wager" I think that the Bible is a symbol of hope that was made to make people believe in something thats not real. All the Bible is is a bunch of stories about fictional people like a story-telling book. For all we know thats what it is. Maybe the Bible wasn't meant to even be a source of hope or religion. Another thing, just about every culture has a different God. Christianity, Protestant, Catholicism, etc believe in God. This other old religion, Zoroastrianism believes in Ahura Mazda (look here). Another, Shinto, a major religion in Japan believe in Izanagi and Izanami, Amastruga or something, Susanoo and Niniji. Buddhism which followers believe in Buddha, a man. Then theres Islam or Judaism or whatever that believe in Allah. There are just so many Gods which one is "real" if any? I think its all fake stuff and that the testaments and doctrines written to govern religions just give people hope and pride and faith. QUOTE(Pyro_Maniak14 @ Jan 6 2006, 04:54 PM)

Your reply is full of fallacies.
The Holy Bible has historical references. It's not a ficticious "story-telling" book. It's been proven it is historically accurate. Sure, the stories about noah, and all the other big big ones may be made up, but the people who claim this to be true, are extremist retards.
The Holy Bible has these stories to teach MORALS. Not to be taken literally.
Buddhists don't believe in a man. They believe in Nirvana -_-
Allah is Arabian for God.
The only religions claiming their God is the real and just one, are the ones of Western culture. You sure don't see any of the cultures that have many gods, claiming they are the just and right ones (Do Hinduists go around claiming that Shiva is the high and mightiest god and all others should bow before them? No)
So my opinion is, that it's the western cultures that are making a big deal about this. Because we westerners are a bunch of egotistical, arrogent retards.
'Nough said.
Christianity is not just a western faith. It originated in the middle east.
The majority of the West practice it though.
i find it ironic how buddism isnt embraced in its origin place, india. and how christianity isnt embraced in its origin, palestine.
