Staredit Network -> Ideas -> An American Werewolf in London

Ok, I'm thinking about starting a Starcraft UMS map based off the movie, An American Werewolf in London.

It starts off just like the movie.. the tourists are roaming the English countryside, and come across a town, which they enter the local tavern named, "The Slaughtered Lamb." There, they find out just a small tidbit about the town, and are asked to leave. As they wonder back into the countryside during the night, they become attacked by a werewolf.

Now, as the 2 to 6 players are being chased by the werewolf, whoever dies first becomes the wolf.. Things happen.. Everyone suffers injuries, and gets sent to a hospital in London. Flash forward a bit.. the people get out of the hospital, and that night the victim turns into a werewolf.

And for the game, I was thinking maybe the surviving players had to run around London until the military shows up at the end of the 20 or so minute time limit, ending with a final scene. But, as they run around, they can try to set traps to hurt and/or kill the werewolf, if they don't think they can survive the time limit. Some traps only require one person to operate, or up to 5 people. And they have to lure the werewolf into the traps and such. Maybe some can be used over and over, and some only once. You can also enter certain buildings, such of the porno theater, backyards, and other places such as in the movie.

I just need ideas for what kind of other game play I can have, so that the game can change almost every time, and what kind of traps can you peple think of that would fit the environment? I could add an inventory, and/or possible action selections you can use for certain things, but I don't know what for yet. Any suggestions and opinions? Think this would be a fun map most of you and your friends would like?

Parallelism between your title and that of a novel by Mark Twain.

you guys have been very supportive.....

yeah dude the name sucks "an american werewolf in london" it sounds very corny. maybe you should do another movie....

im sure it will be a fun map but it might deter some people(like me) just because of the name.

Build a town. Make buildings so you can enter them. Call it Werewolf. That sounds good to me, Alot better than your current title.

MAN DONT LISTEN TO ANY OF THAT!!! That sounds like a tight map just cuz im a fan of the movie. In order to appreciate this map fully you would have had to see the movie or movies.

One thing i was thinking about while reading it was how would you convey the feeling of night?
Also you could give the map a huge wooded area for the forest.

GO FOR IT
