Staredit Network -> Serious Discussion -> SEN Weekly Opinion Poll VIII
Report, edit, etc...Posted by DT_Battlekruser on 2006-01-06 at 23:41:43
Opinion Poll Rules
1. Statements of opinion must be thorough and thought out. Blatant exclamations of "IDIOT!!", for example, will not be tolerated.
2. No flaming people while stating your opinion.
3. A new opinion poll will be posted in less that pi weeks.

Last Week: A moderate majority confirmed there was a difference between love and lust..

This Week: Time to reassess. Same question as #1.

My Response: No. Still am disgusted, and nothing had happened to change that.

List of all previous polls
1.Do you approve of the way President Bush is doing his job?
2.Is Communism a good idea?
3.References to God should be removed (i.e. "under God" in the pledge and "In God We Trust" on money)
4.Is I. Lewis ("Scooter") Libby Guilty?
5.What are your thoughts over the current evidence of corruption in the government?
6.Are you disturbed by in overwhelming Mexican/Hispanic influence on the US?
7.Are love and lust essentially the same thing, varying in intensity?

George Bill Clinton got a blowjob from a fat lady and gets impeached, this farker admits to spying on the american public, going to war based on lies, under his leadership we are torturing men who cannot defend themselves because they are tied down.... I think you get what my answer is. (If you get this wrong, then you must have the IQ of a turd.)

I vote no.

It's been obvious since the beginning that his motives are not in the best interest of the people, but in the best interest of himself and his financial supporters (each of the last two elections cost each candidate well over 100 million dollars). But I am happy to see that he's losing footing on his policies and today the people looking into his spying program say the admistrations's arguments were "unpersuasive" and that the act itself is most likely illegal. He hasn't had that damn cocky smirk lately and that makes me happy. He's a sore winner and a sore loser. Nature has a way of toppling the corrupt.

ADDITION:
I just thought of my stance in the theory that Bush doesn't actually run anything. He's a puppet. That's why the people and standards that he claims to represent are of conflicting interests, and his "agenda" is just a shopping list that was compiled by his supporters.

First off, he is spying on terrorists, not the american public. Also, the Italians caught 3 terrorists planning to bomb America to an extent worse than 9/11 using wire taps I will go and try to find the article.

QUOTE
going to war based on lies

Do you really think that Saddam Hussein would have never tried to build WMD if left ruler of Iraq?

QUOTE

Wtf are you talking about?

Any way, would you like to see Kerry in office? I hope not.

hes talking about the afgan prisoners that the soldiers have been abusing.

what exactly is so bad about kerry? we have not seen him in office so we dont know how he would lead.

What is so bad about kerry?
He can't make his mind on anything.
Even his squad mates from Vietnam call him a liar.

BTW i found the the article

No, he is not. He authorized the NSA to tap any international calls to any country made by an American citizen. If I made a business call to Tokyo, or a personal call to Seoul, it could be tapped and I would not be told.

Yes, I would. Kerry is a much more sensible person than Bush.

QUOTE

This is also not true. The "Swiftboat Veterans for Truth" were not affiliated or in the same boat as Kerry, and had no way of knowing the truth. All Kerry does is change his mind if new evidence comes to light, something Bush seems incapable of doing.

Torturing prisoners? haha

You mean we aren't letting them sleep becuase they won't tell us information. I bet though terrorists get more sleep then I do... disgust.gif

You mean they are in hot contianers outfitted to be cells, which would be a vacation for them away from the extreme heats they are use to.

You mean we play loud pop music in their cells day and night, which I will agree to be torture cause I hate pop music.

Techniqually we could kill them if we wanted to. They don't where uniforms, they don't represent any country and they fight with no banner...

I say execute the lot......

Uh no, humiliation is a form of torture... thought you kept up on the news chris. Torturing them based on their phobias, going against their religion (showing them naked women) I mean ya i would like that but to them its a sin.

Also dumbdonkey, I'm glad you picked your name based on your intelligence.
Saddam would probably not go for them in the next 10 years. He couldn't afford them, he was so in debt trying to just support his military, he owed russia like a couple million and other countries too. Even an inside source said their nuclear program died a decade ago. Plus why should we police the world of nuclear weapons... when we have over 2000 in our arsenal!

BTW, as DTBK said, he IS spying on americans. He spies on country-country calls of american citizens.

That pretty much sums up what I believe.

To Doodan: He is the puppet of the NWO (New World Order), the people trying to form the world into one dictatorship.

Um.. Why would the United States Government, need to know every single book you check out from the library, eh? How about your local police department getting bored one day, and decides to tap into your house and listen to you talking to your girlfriend about going and doing things for the first time, and know EXACTLY where you're going to do it, then they arrest you eh?

Exactly. Just be quiet, greyie.

Uh.. No. He isn't that stupid like Bush is.

Actually, I WOULD like to see Kerry in office. It's a lot better than an arrogent fark like Bush.

I laugh at your first remark. Remember the picture of a certain Prv. holding a hose, and doing the thumbs up with a cig in her mouth, and a naken POW? Remember how she got sent to trial, too?

And the rest of your post, is just random, bland, useless spam.

If we excecute them, that = a breach in the Geneva Treaties (Terrorists don't applie to them, so don't use the argument, "They don't follow it" because we are a world super-power. We should follow the rules and set examples. Whoopsie, to late!)

I'll tell you what the real danger of the wiretapping is:

Some of you may know this, some may not, but during the Cold War, the government kept surveillance over the country. Often times, if the leader of an interest group that had conflicting views with the current administration began to gain some power, evidence that they were communists would conveniently surface and they would lose everything in the turmoil of trying to clear their names.

The same thing could happen now (and probably already has). If someone starts to become a threat to the administration, then I'm sure evidence of being linked to terrorists might conveniently surface and they would lose everything.

Bush has maintained that the spying is a "wartime privilege," but he has also said that the war on terror is a "neverending war." You see where I'm going here?

Been watching Good Night and Good Luck? tongue.gif

Seriously though, this is a major concern. The Plame family comes to mind. He speaks out about the war and conveniently it leaks out his wife is in the CIA.

Also, there is the ridiculousness of some of the terrorist measures. A woman's infant child ended up on a terrorist watch list and she was held up because they had to make sure 5-month-old baby wasn't going to hijack the plane.

Suprised that no one voted for no comment.

No because he is always late for a disaster. He is more of a laid back guy who depends on others instead of doing all the work for himself.

Actually no it doesn't, it retains its meaning because humiliation IS a form of torture. Emotional torture is still torture. Torture does not just mean physical. Figured they taught that in 6th grade, you probably haven't gotten there yet.

So a few soldiers himiliate some prisoners and suddenly all of the American troops stationed at prisons are torturing their prisoners?
That happened two years ago(or was it 3?) and those responsible were punished.

So don't say we torture our prisoners.
