Ok, I know everyone runs around with tons of information about how to use text detection, but has anyone ever actually tested it out with a positive result? After hours of trying every single method I could find, and every single time, it doesn't work, I feel as if i am being led on a wild goose chase, Does it actually work? Am I missing something? I mean, the thing is, I haven't seen one map with it in it, not an experimental map, nothing. So, What's the deal?
It works! I have done it before on a map, unfortunately I don't know what it's saved as, but I have definately whitnessed it work. It's really picky though, because the special word has to be the first thing you type, and you have to be a specific player slot. Apparently to do it for all players it would complicate the trigger exponentially. This is why a lot of EUD maps are one player only.
..It has to be the first word only.
'doh.
It doesn't complicate anything. With trigger duplicator by MindArchon, theres no limits to complicity. Not only that, but you can literally run the program to do everything for you in split moments.
Though, I do fear for the size of the map after duplicator is done with it.
So your saying that if trigger duplicator is used to make these EUD text conditions for every line then it would attualy work? I was told that you have to put the same text condition for every line and the duplicator takes care of all of that for you already? If so then that would be really nice.
Speaking that the increments of the deathcounts are in set intervals, then yes of course.
It duplicates the crudders out of everything you can possiblly imagine. Try it out, see for yourself.
The problem with doing it multiplayer is that part of the text is the player name too.
So if your name was OMGWTF then 1-4 on whatever line would be
CODE
OMGW
and 5-8
CODE
TF:[space]
and then the text.
Whats the maximum characters one account can have?
Three minimum, fifteen maximum.
how many characters in line does EUd text display hold?
You can read four characters per condition. You can also use AT LEAST and AT MOST to ignore the different characters that could be used for a name.
Do you have to then do the same text conditions for every line then? I tried doing this for line one and it didn't work and LW said to just do it for all of the lines...
