Hey ppl,
I am looking for someone to help me create terrain for a new lotr-based game. You can find the original post here.
http://www.staredit.net/index.php?showtopic=25416I am looking for a partner in helping me take lotr-based maps to the next level. For this to happen I would like the terrain to look amazing and you tile sets to make actual mountains.
But while thinking about this map, I thought it would be cool to see a mount doom using tile set. Even if you don’t want to help me and if you don’t want me to use it in my map, make it I would love to see it. I think it would be cool idea since no one has done it yet.

Hey Sie would you want to make the terrain for the map or are you talking about making mount doom?
Anyways could u post some thing that you have done using tile sets? So I can see what your capable of.

yeah im currently working on my RP. so the best i can do now is to make mount doom at least untill i finish my RP.

concept terrainYa, how long are you from completion? The terrain I really need is non blochey mountins and some minor things but mostly mountins.

anyway i dont know when my RP will be finished its been very slow but im steadily working on it.
I am beginning to like Sie Sayoka... he is turning out some actuall terrain! I would love to check out that map in-person and fix all of the problems for you, free of charge, in like 1 hour max... I can't fix everything, but those moutains I can definitely spice up... ><

it might look a bit cooler if the ribs only repeated once...

The only thing wrong with your terrain Sie is the lack of color. It looks very bland, try adding in some doodads and grass. Although that may not be what you are trying to achieve, it will help you out in the future. And fix the repetativeness with the cliff!

Otherwise, nice jjob and you should let WoodenFire take a look, he's very good.
thx guys yeah i pretty much use the same thing for all the cliifs. those were my experiments just to see if i could do it. keep in mind its an RP so its 256x256 i cannot spend my time perfecting every part. if i spend too much time on one map my mind tends to turn to something else.
ummmmm what happend to helping me? Wood would you be interrested in helping me? I need somone to help me I want to get started with triggers and such.

Some people spend time to perfect 256 worth of blends, you're just lazy
