Plot Overview
A normal day in Raccoon City,  a not so normal outcome.  Hours after Alice and Matt make it out of the Hive and the umbrella scientists capture them, the door to the Hive is reopened.  You on the other hand had no idea it was coming.

Trapped in a city with hell its self, You and up to 4 others, start at your house, only to find that hell has just forged Raccoon City as its opening.  Fight your way out of the city, saving people, if you can that is, and stop the Umbrella Corperation from getting away with this plague.

The story starts you inside your house, alone or with a friend all matters on how many are in the game at the time.  You are watching what everyone else would be watching, the news, to find out what is happening.  Soon static just covers your TV screen and you know what you must do.  Escape.

After running down the street looking for help, you stumble across a gunstore, and this is where our adventure begins.

Uhm, as a highly informed resident evil fanatic i really don't like the way you made this map.. The lack of a guide led to the confusion of where to go as i found myself wandering the small house and not knowing if i should enter the streets or not.. This map doesn't really fallow the storyline of a 'Resident Evil' game.. However, i'm sure this is more on a fan's basis. I didn't really like the colors that you presented each transmission with, good idea to include a guide though.. Creative it was, terrain however, was very poor... Needs alot of work but you had a good basis for a new theme of horror going.


GLICHES:
Well i didn't get very far before coming across the first glich.. When you leave your house and go towards the broken cars the door that leads into the street with the broken doors won't open sometimes... Upon getting close to the door i found myself backed into a corner by a marine who would not move..

The doors might have a few diffuclties opeining due to the fact that i use a location following the player...and it only moves if the player isnt in it.

So sometimes you have to move around the door....just to get in...but i assure you...this is based off of the movie RE: Apocalypse. Nemesis, the nukeing of Raccoon City, the hive (Being the first of course), the church soon (Probably somekinda licker boss), and possibly the hospital. I also intend to have a section built just like Panzer_Kavalier's RE: RC where the players all used to work for a living. tongue.gif

Area 3 (Which isnt complete to this post) will be still filled with civilians, and the RPD holding off zombies as ppl evacuate. If you evac then, bad ending. If you go through the hive. Good Ending smile.gif

Also if you had the old version PLEASE get the new 0.62...it has way less bugs -.-

I agree with UBCS... I played it and I walked around... and I got ganged... Badly... I was gang raped... I had no idea where to go and what to do. At first I made it to this place where the people said they have "guns" but I didn't get one and they asked me to get supplies from ACROSS the street. I went southwest across from the shop or whatever... entered the house and found nothing. And upon leaving I was beaten to death by my arms that the zombies had eaten off. Terrain wasn't TERRIBLE but it wasnt good. I got confused with those little 1x1 ISOM tile spaces in the walls... I thought they were doors or gaps but I could never go through them... you gotta fix that. Not bad though... Althought I dont like the beacon system for everything you pick up... It takes too long.

i like the idea of multipaths but still everything i said needs to be redone and you really need to work on your resident evil history. If you need help when it comes to storyline, character development, basis storyline for enemies, code name for enemies, the complete background history of umbrella, which i have posted before in older RE topics, or anything else doing with RE, come to me...

You're intentions for this map are very strong and swell, however you need guidance.

Id like to say this. THIS IS A BETA!!! Its not gunna be completly accurate yet. O.o'

I dont care about resident evil history. This is new story, Hence the name "File #2". Therefor, new places, and such. The gun shop actually has windows, those arent ways through, theyre ment for shooting through! Also.. To those who dont like the gun system, dont fret... There will be auto gun equipping in the late distant future. Evern if marine dosent make it.... I will! O_o

Also..I say that this is the best zombie map yet to come... Other favorites, PeazeL's DotD:C and Of course Panzer's origonal work, RE: RC have been the reinging titles... Some may know me for my attempt for zombie greatness, though it didnt shake off to well. I made a map Called Zombie Outpost, its buggy, and usually laggy. But its fun, in a way..

Anyways! To those who complain about the doors.. The doors if you havent realized, Are run of of ONLY 6 LOCATIONS! Any door marine wants, it can be put. Dont complain, cause he saved locations doing that, meaing funner game play. (dont ask marine for the triggers either, he wont tell you. Its our little secret. uberwoot.gif )

LoL.. you make this map sound like it's the next biggest thing.. Don't be so into yourself kid, it ticks people like me off.. Who use to be like you.. If you dont care about the resident evil history then make your own goddamn name.. You're ruining the Resident Evil name by disrespecting it.. I understand u want to fallow your own basis of RC however, reading all the diary notes from RE2 and RE3 would make your map x400000 as interesting... you just don't see that. If you keep being into yourself talkabout how much your map is "goign to own" then chances are no1 will reply.

Some people cant get theyre hands onto resident evil games. Some people are poor, You must remember that, then you can make judgements. This is new places, new story. What you DONT see. Not what HAPPENED. Remember that as well. Also, everyone is tired of what has happened, everyone is looking for new. I assure you, this will be the next big zombie map, and i would very well bet money on it too. By the way, I never said anythign about "Owning" on b.net did I? Whats with that? Also, Marine being part of Clan ShF (Shadow Flare - My clan. ) he told me that he is completly aware that no charactors or such from the games/movies have been implemented.


These things have to wait. All great maps took time didnt they? There is no way that you cannont agree with me on that. And if you dont. I say screw off, don't post here again, or were gunna have some nice little conflit with spam bots and such on b.net. ( I don't have em, but ive got friends... )

Wow your pretty confident that this map is destined for greatness. Don't get too cocky though... it'll just be more painful in the end. biggrin.gif Just agree with UBCS... you can't win lol. I don't mind the not-relevant-to-RE because Im not as big a fan as UBCS but I still love the games and movies. Just finish it and release another demo... Less complicated and have us POSSIBLY start off with a weapon? biggrin.gif

Well I guess I can say I'm sorry for making it too complicated (And I thought SEN was a bunch of NON noobs tongue.gif)

I will most certainly change most of the dialogs, and I'm already planing to make a Stragety guide at my website too. I'll post the link when i get a good bit of it done, (It'll be under the Download at the top)

But besides that, I'm trying to become a excellently known map maker on B.net, it's always been my dream since I started map making 2 years ago, and I finnaly got a break with this map. Amazing what you can do with 2 years, I just hope this map turns out good happy.gif


Now to the revelent items.

Starting with a weapon is somewhat pointless, I start the game so that zombies do not spawn untill you make it to the gun shop, I have my reasons.

Starting with a weapon makes the game start too easy, I'm sure some will agree. But please, download any versions, Or just ask me on B.Net (Prefers that because I can show you things wink.gif) Please continue to post everyone, as I make it better in your favor happy.gif

I loved Zombie time, i am gonna go on B-net right now and get a few people to play! Anyway, i did get alittle confused but just kept walking around anyway, i got a few questions/requests: when the zombies just keep on spawning, can you have them aiming for certain things? (like a power station or something) and when they actully destroy it you get another mission or something? (I.E so sometimes you will get missions and sometimes you want, it also adds a bit of a randomization to the game) when you reach umbreller, can you see signs of the outbrake, I.E flooded rooms, dead bodys (EVERYWHERE) and some signs of alice and the crew going thru! thanks!

Hey mate, this map has loads of potential in it. Nice work. Just a bit of advice though, try not to allow players into dead ends on beta versions (the umbrella area), b/c then they just have to start over and thats not cool.
Other than that, I rather enjoyed the map and didnt have any problems finding a weapon...and going by the RE2 movie, I wouldnt say you need a whole bunch of character names and named dialouge (not every RE map has to feature Leon...)

LoL, it would be cool to find leons car and a few dead zombies around it, and to go to some of the places (earlyer or after the movie/games) that could explain wat happens! lol, and as the game goes on will the survivors (computer civs) get taken out? like they will fall and teh zombies will start to take over alot more places?

First of which. That dead end you speak of, was the end of the beta tongue.gif

2nd: The survivors will live or die depending on your priorities. They will die if alls you do is escape. If you save as many as you can, and find the secrets, They live, you live, umbrella doesnt (Hey! I could make a sequil after this of umbrella's revenge O.o)

Also you should add in a few more objectives when you get into the eastern district with your car, I was kind of at a loss for what to do for a little while until I stumbled upon the RPD.
Another thing is your whole day/night triggers. Its very nice, but it seemed to me that night was way better than day because you could see everything and could always just go get a flashlight. Its a neat idea though
