What is life?
What is the value of life?
Does the value change?
Does it have a value as same as all?
Is the value dependant on the inhabiants of the land?

What is the purpose of life?
Are we all criminals in another world, sent into this place to be rehabilated?
Are we all here to learn the purpose within life?
Are we here to simply learn a little fact or many?

I see life as the quintessential exercise in futility.

There is no inherent value, and thus people turn to enumerated value. This is akin to drawing a face on a paper bag; it's still an empty bag, it just has a more relative appearance.

To quote Choking Victim, "No Gods, No Managers."

The purpose of life, is to create a legacy. Wise words my friend told me that stick with me forever.

Really its all there is to it. Its to create something that will last after your existance. Children, fame, fortune, respect. These things are really what life is about.

I totally agree. A lot of people just live a simple life without doing anything that'd change the world. People strive to improve the world. If they didn't we wouldn't have computers, TVs, beds, nor anything else.

What is the value of life... It has been the question asked by many great philosophers. But in the end we must realise that value is a human creation. There are no natural values other than what we give.

The Purpose of Life is to experince new things that the world has to offer! happy.gif

Life is something that we have to spend. It is like jail...We are sent here to do our time doing basically nithign except working for the police (God and Jesus) and getting tortured by the Head Officer (Satan).

If we are here to procreate, then what purpose does that bring?

Value of life is more than money I agree.

If all we are to do is to create a legacy, then again for what purpose?
If we were simply to create a legacy, then upon the wall of our history, are we just to leave a mark?
If we were to leave a mark here, why? To last within the world?

If we were all to fufill a destination of our own... then what would be the purpose for others? confused.gif

If the purpose in life is to have fun... that does make sense but... is it right?

If the value of life is human creation (Assuming I read this correctly) why is then it corrupt, lovely, detestable, caring, kind, and full of animosity? (Did I use the vocaulary in this all correctly?)

If life is to simply experience all the things life has to offer, then why is it that it's different for all? One of misery and another of great happiness...

Um... jail!? If we were simply to just spend it... then why do we have a bond to it? Why is it that we wish not to leave? (Assuming you don't wish to die.)

Sorry for being such a... devil.gif
You probably wish to... chair.gif

What is life? - Exsistance. You are alive because you can perceive the physical world.
What is the value of life? - Most valuable "idea" that we have.
Does the value change? - No.
Does it have a value as same as all? - All what?
Is the value dependant on the inhabiants of the land? - No.

What is the purpose of life? - No purpose as far as we all can tell. We haven't known for this long so it doesn't really matter anyways.
Are we all criminals in another world, sent into this place to be rehabilated? - Um... No.
Are we all here to learn the purpose within life? - No. We are alive. Its random. Life doesn't need a purpose. Just live.
Are we here to simply learn a little fact or many? - We are hear to learn as much as possible because it is the only thing that will keep us from boredom.

If you are looking at the religious way, then your little comment has done nothing but confuse us all... But the idea about criminal is new... Never heard that one before. If we are all rehabilitating, then when we meet again later, lets scream RAWRZ as soon as you reach the other world so that they can know you... But I doubt it...

Life, in a depressing way, is nothing. It is just there. You don't need explanation. You are desperate to give an explanation. Face it. if you are dead, you are dead. Don't look for afterlife or you will be more than depressed. Just... it is just there...

Procuress and me are wise. You have the exact right idea procuress; exact same views as me. There probably isn't a meaning to life, and no meaning to death either. You are alive, or dead.

Life is very valuable, since you never know when yours ends. So I say, make the most out of it.

QUOTE
Does the value change?

I don't really think so.

QUOTE
Does it have a value as same as all?

It really depends on the personality of the person

QUOTE
Is the value dependant on the inhabiants of the land?

Yeah. To have life, there needs to be a habitat. If the habitat is treated like a trash can, the value of life is increased, since there's many defects of the Earth that have come up since it was formed, such as the atmosphere wearing away, and the threats of humanity blowing the living hell out of ourselves.

QUOTE
What is the purpose of life?

What R2B said about creating a legacy

QUOTE
Are we all criminals in another world, sent into this place to be rehabilated?

I don't believe so.

QUOTE
Are we all here to learn the purpose within life?

Look above ^. I don't think we are really meant to learn the purpose.

QUOTE
Are we here to simply learn a little fact or many?

Possibly.

But doesn't everything have a Purpose..............Or.....Does it??!?!?!?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by l)ark_13 on 2006-01-19 at 19:10:12
Yes. Everything has a purpose. Everything physical that is. Life is not nessisarily physical. It is displayed in a physical way, but only because we can perceive it that way. So, life, technically isn't just physical, thus doesn't need a purpose. Just like random thoughst: what are the purposes of random thoughts? The thousands of useless things you ask, or come up with?

JUST MY WAY OF THINKING. NOT FACT OR ANYTHING lol

I believe that we go through life to find true happiness, to create a legacy, to help make this world a better place. But you shouldn't try to find why were here, you should just live the so called "life" your given and find what you truly want.

Do you seriously think that a bunch of teenagers on an SC forum are going to somehow answer your torrent of self-contradiction induced empirical questions about the the fundamental composure of the world and all its intricacies?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Shapechanger on 2006-01-26 at 17:06:57
The meaning of life is what you want it to be.
If you're content with working at Walmart and living in an apartment your whole life, then that could be your meaning.

Personally I think the meaning of life is to be remembered.
