Ugh, I've been trying to improve as a map maker. My efforts have proved futile <--(who says that?).
This map isn't entirely finished. Post any comments or suggestions as usual...
One of the best ash maps I've ever seen
The entrance to blue base looks wider than the entrance to red base. This is just based on what I can see on the screenshot though, so I may be wrong (would have downloaded the map if I could, but I can't look at it at school).
Major problem, you have to gas/min expansions inside your main bases. Terran can easily hole up with tanks and get so many early resources and do heavy damage..
Then you will have to find what you want to do with the other expo, you could move it to the main choke, and keep the gas in it. Then zerg can fast expo there and block main with sunks.
Another thing, the top right corner and the bottom left corner expos can be taken by just blocking one small choke. Try connecting that to the mid as well and the game will be improved alot, less biased, give more flanking room, etc..
I like the map design, its jsut that the way it is, its a bit too cramped and parts of it give unfair advantages. GL and try to reverse the problems I suggested.
If you want, I could tell you how I would fix the problem in each corner or you could try yourself... But either way, it needs to be renovated..
I see... I can probably put a ramp down into the middle from bottom left and top right expos. It seems close enough to work. As for those gas expansions...the second natural was originally mineral only...I guess I should have kept it that way. Do you think I can afford to just take the gas out of one of the naturals?
ADDITION:
The additions didn't work in favor of the ramps...and they made the movement space even smaller than before...but here's what it looks like (also took out that gas at the natural, and evened up the choke sizes)

I want you to make the green circles all passable terrain.

Just don't give up, I think there is much room for improvement, I would try another map after this one, and I would make it much simpler, normal map size, 128*128, 2 or 4 players, big mid, nat by choke, etc.
Sounds do-able, I love 2 player maps, so I'll stick with that.

fark... It seems that I can't open the editor. I tried dling a bunch from here, still none worked. Ugh. Feel free to make your suggestions a reality, I didn't protect the map. God damn my comp.

I'm aching to fix this map, but my editor still isn't working! This is annoying, I can't even make a new map. Every time I open it, it acts as if I'm opening a protected map, but all I'm doing is clicking "staredit".
Download SCMDraft and see if that works... Restart your comp, and if none of that works, reinstall SC.
I think I'm gonna have to reinstall the biznatch...
