Hey, I am Dabbu (since W2 came out) and I've been making maps for Starcraft for many years now. I never had help from anyone and I didn't know places like this existed, but now that I know I'm joining up 
.
My problem was I didn't finish any maps I started (I'm trying to change that now). All I ever did was test stuff out so I learned a lot of tricks over the years (stuff like what you guys call hyper triggers).
I've made posts on czaries, (have a look if you want http://forum.czaries.net) but I think this is a better site for me to share what I can with you guys.

We should be telling you to have fun, not only can you be concentrating on map making, but you can send in maps to a database for others to play and create tutorials to show off your knowledge. It's a good thing we have a new member that has correct grammar.

We only specialize in map making. So we have people that don't need us at all so they go to our affiliates forums, but then theres people who do that stick around and are awsome people

yeah. grammar isn't that big of a deal for me most of the time...unless they act really dumb about it.

Well I'm already writing tutorials and regathering what I dumped on czaries, I hope someone finds it useful.
Oh and I forgot, I'm 20, going to college for 2 years programming.
I like making maps for Starcraft over W3 (which I also own) because it's just far more rewarding seeing how far I can push my maps for such an old but amazing game.

I absolutely agree with this. War3edit has so many useless functions its incredible. Staredit = Fun because you can break so many barriers (sprites, skyscrapers, the possibilities are endless!)

Well after reading some of your more recent post my first impression of you has changed. Going from "Riding my Bike Backwards" to your nice little Null Terrain thread I have started to think a lot better of you.
Maybe its just me, but I talk to mapmakers all the time and It doesn't take me very long to gauge there skill without seeing any map of theirs. Probably a side effect of being leader/member of (U) for so long. Anyways I guess what I’m saying is you present yourself as more skilled than the vast majority of mapmakers. I ended up reading several of your post on the forum you linked us to and it only enforces the judgment I have already made.
Anyways, I hope you stick around. (do I know you from battle.net? do you know me? Lol)

I didn't check back here for a long time now... I figured the welcoming dies out after a while.
At any rate, thanks (U)Bolt, I hope one day to play one of my finished maps with you and impress even more.
BTW I only plan to make 3 full maps for SC.
