What is your favorite tileset to make your melee maps on?

To me, it would be a tie between Ice, space, and jungle. But I voted Ice because I think ice maps look beautiful.

My least favorite is Twilight.

I say Jungle World. It is the tileset that I'm most comfortable on.

And MA, you do seem to like Space tileset. I remember a lot of your maps on it.

Space Platform, I think its easier to make a map look good on, so I can concentrate more on balance, plus, it looks cool and has alot of options.

Iceworld.

Everything that blows up on that tileset has a very crisp look to it. Not to mention every unit contrasts greatly with the white background. Can't miss them brown zlings on jungle dirt.

I dislike iceworld, too many people make it too bright, too dark, etc. I think to make a good map on it, it needs a good blend of white and brown.. When it looks good, it looks really good tho.

I have a big problem with Space and Iceworld. I dislike iceworld mainly because (like yenku said) It can be a bit too bright, and it's near impossible to see the neon green font over the bright snow... Not to metnion, I haven't actually found an iceworld map that I liked. If anyone could show me a good iceworld map, that'd be cool.

Space...

The reason Space is a problem is because of it's perfectly symetrical nature. If you're going to make a space map, more than 70% of the map has to be perfectly symetrical to look/play good. Every non symetrical space map that I see is usually wayyy to ugly and would fit better on a different tileset.

My favorite tileset has to be Jungle. It's so versatile; it has so many different lowground and highground choices. It also makes the map look natural, as if the location actually exists somewhere on earth...heh. Most of my favorite maps are on this terrain, and I wouldn't have it any other way

(4)Neo Silent Vortex is a good map, pro map. Its iceworld, it looks a bit obnoxious and unbalanced but its cool. I saw a cool PvZ rep on it... it can be found on BWMN

i was the desert voter, but i couldnt reply when i first voted...didnt have much time on the comp.

i like it because it has several levels of ground, i think 4, (sunken, reg, high, and high compound), and you can do so much with it (If you're good)

i love to make desert maps, but they never come out any good but it's still my favorite to make, even though i sux0r at it.

Once I find myself a version of Staredit (the program, not this site) that works. Like I've been saying, my editor's farked up...

yeah, ashworld is REALLY nice when you do it right.

i havent seen too many good ashworld maps, but anyone who makes good ones, i admire..so much using so little. 2 levels of highground ; )

Eh... I have never seen a real good ash map because of the issues with color and lack of terrain.. Only one I like is Xeno Sky / Legacy of Char.

I liked many of them but I voted space. Space makes it look like star wars (lol) or star battles. Also I find some interesting doodads in there adding more a fun touch to it He he. But for fastest I dont think space is the best option. I also think elevated catwalks provide a intricate defense.

I have to admit, the spaceship battles on space terrain do look interesting.
I dislike how you tend to lose yourself on the never ending black gaps that exist between floating platforms.

I prefer using Jungle. I also like platform, desert and ice. I've tried making maps with ashworld and twilight too, but they didnt go so well so I don't like using those tilesets.

Not sure what my favorites are but I dislike iceworld and desert. They look so bad to me on the minimaps.

Anyway, my favorite tilesets are Badlands and Iceworld, followed by Twilight, Jungle, Desert, Space, Ash.

I like Twilight. There's a lot of variety in the doodads and terrain types, and also I just like blue. Long live the Kakaru!

I Love Ice, Jungle, and Twilight.. Desert and Ashworld are Ugly...So Very Ugly....so ugly i cant stand to make them...and Installation is Good too

I'd say Jungle tileset. I think it looks wonderful and it has cool tiles.

You can't make melee maps on Installation xD

Well actually, there is buildable terrain on Installation, but it's hidden and you need a special editor to get it.
