This is a mod I found out about a week or so ago, and have been playing it since.

NOTE: You must have Half-Life 2 and Half-Life 2 Deathmatch installed to play this game.

This game is online only. It has two phases, Build and Combat.

In the build stage, you use planks of metal and blocks to build a base with a gravity gun. There's many pieces, small box, big box, big plank, small plank, and long plank. By grabbing a piece and hitting reload (Standard "r"), you can freeze planks, as to make floating platforms, ect.

The main objective is to cature the other persons flag (Which is actually a rollermine, but hey), so naturally, you cover this up, making it hard to get it.

You also can construct firing pits, ramps, or walkways to get to places faster, as well as making it harder for the enemy team to get into your base. Of course, this is also a double edged sword. After taking the enemies flag, you have to return it to yours. So completely covering up your base and flag makes it impossible to capture theirs.

In the combat phase, you choose a class, scout, soldier, builder, rocketeer, or sniper. They do what they imply.

Scout:
Health: Low
Speed: Fast
Weapons: Cowbar/Stun Stick, Pistol, SMG, Grenades
Notes: Best for flag stealing.

Soldier:
Health: High
Speed: Slow
Weapons: Crowbar/Stun Stick, Pistol, Pulse Rifle, Grenades
Notes: Best All Around Class.

Builder:
Health: Medium
Speed: Medium
Weapons: Crowbar/Stun Stick, Pistol, Gravity Gun, Shotgun, Grenades
Notes: Can remove pieces of enemies base, and then use it to reinforce their own.

Rocketeer:
Health: High
Speed: Low
Weapons: Crowbar/Stun Stick, Pistol, Rocket Launcher, Grenades, Mines
Notes: Best for destroying pieces of the enemy base.

Sniper:
Health: Low
Speed: Medium
Weapons: Crowbar/Stun Stick, Pistol, Crossbar, Grenades
Notes: Snipers. Crossbow usually kills in one hit, sometimes two.

As you play, you have to defend your own base as you try to take the others flag. Of course, there is much more strategy to it, like stealing their pieces or destroying them, ect, but that's it in a nutshell.

Depending on the server and map, there may be multiple build/combat phases, so you really shouldn't miss out.

There aren't that many servers, maybe 50-100 at most, but they are usually pretty full, so you should be able to get a good match in.

There's also a couple of maps that play differently, like one where you have to take your flag into the others base to score.

So in conclusion, lets jump on the bandwagon and put it into review form.

Graphics
Half Life 2 quality. Of course it's good wink.gif

Sound
Mostly Half Life 2 sounds, although there are some other ones.

Gameplay
Use planks of metal and metal boxes to make a base during your "Build" Phase, and capture the flag or defend your own in the "Combat" Phase.

Gameplay
Easy to use Half Life 2 controls. Only exception is you hit reload to freeze blocks.

Summary
Great mod. Updated frequently, fun, and has quite alot of users.

Fun, simple yet complicated mod for HL2. If you have it, I'd suggest you check it out.

Had this since its early stages of making. My video card makes it so I can see through the blocks (they start to fade out) as I move away from them. Its pretty sweet.

Same here but I think it does that on purpose.

Yea, that's HL2 distance vision rendering. Helps lower level video cards run it better.

As for some screen shots, I'll see if I can get some up today or tommorrow. I have some homeworky stuff to do today.

I'm going to try to get it, unfortunately all my downloading is strictly regulated by my parents. *grumbles about how I have to ask to get stinking Doom2 mod thing for SCS*

How do your parents know what you download?

SourceForts=Awesome!
I love building little bunks in the air.

Problem is walls take to long to tear down as the engineer. Killing them is prety much impossible.

One of three ways:

1. Some routers can keep a log of all the websites you visit, and I think ours is one of them.

2. They're both extremely technically competent. They can pull the temporary Internet files and figure out exactly where I went. That also means no porn tongue.gif

3. All access to our computers is strictly controlled by my parents, and they check in from time to time.

Very amusing, except there always seem to be meanies who always remodel my towers and ramps to suite their own wants.....

I think corbo might play this, I spotted someone with the username "corbo".
Its pretty fun, but I think the whole block mechanics could use some work, its pretty much unfeasable to kill them.

I have played this and it's pretty fun.
