ok well i've noticed that sf doesn't display the minimap and tiles the way it is viewed in the sc client... i was just starting some extended terrain and it looked like i made "perfect" blends and combos but when i went in game to see it was shiz all y was it made like this pinch.gif

For some tilesets there is two actual sets: one for editor and one for SC. Maybe he is using the Editor one?
But minimap is different anyways, I found then when I was researching how they get what colors from what tiles.

Actually, it's not really possible to correctly show the minimap when you have a resizable minimap =P

StarCraft just resizes the tiles.. Its just done a bit differently when you get to 1x1 and 2x2.

Yea, I believe it doesn't average out all the colors on a tile, instead i think it picks a pixel out of the 32x32 image and uses that as the pixel color on the minimap... on 256x256 maps... i haven't quite figured that part out.

It only uses one of the tiles of a 2x2 section.

Yeah. Sometimes I pick a tile and SF shows it as black but it's actually lighter. SF isn't perfect but at least it's somewhat sufficient to work with. Deal with it! ohmy.gif
