Staredit Network

Staredit Network -> UMS Assistance -> Is it safe to delete unused strings in proedit?

Basically if i delete a bunch of unused strings in proedit my map wont be corrupted by doing that right?

Just use the normal Recycle String function. Keep in mind that changes you do to shared strings will obviously be reflected in all areas that use that string.

Deleting unused strings won't mess up anything in your map.

The worse thing that can happen with proedit is the screw up of certain strings, but I think that was when I did the final compression option and protected it (or maybe I have an outdated version of proedit)

By screw up, I mean some parts of the strings are deleted. (ie: "Special Thanks" could become "Special Tha")
