Yeah... What the heck is map revealers and what do you use them for? I don't seem to get it with the help file in staredit either... I see them in a plenty of maps so what are they used for?

Map revealers are units. They give vision for whatever player owns them, like every other unit, but that's all they do.

So what do you use them for? Revealing parts of the map. In a defense map, for example, there are usually map reavers on the map so that the players can see everything.

Their also invisible in-game so dont expect anyone to see them and make your map look ugly tongue.gif

This question is kinda common sense think about the word "Map Revealer" could it reveal the map?

they have a sight range of 10 all around which makes the map revealed. (fuh)

this is pretty basic, all they are is so that you can see the map you made in BNET, so there is no fog of war over your map screen

oh yeah.. map revealers dont show in the game by the way.. only in the editor..

Everyone says that they dont show in game.. If someone don't know that he's a complete newbie.. I alredy knew that about 1 year ago.

I dont think you can delete them but you might be able to give them to another player or something

I don't quite know how to put it, but Map revealers don't respond to triggers with locations.
For example, to remove them you can use the "Remove units" trigger but the "Remove units at location" trigger won't work. (BTW, that's how you remove them. It will remove ALL of them, though)

Similarly, the "Give units" trigger won't effect them, because it uses a location.
