You could save the wav files in a lower quality format. Pretty much all sound editors can do that.

Search Google for "wav sound editor" and you should get about a million results. Pick one and download it.

You could also try compressing your map with uBeR@TiOn to make it smaller.

i dont think you CAN make it smaller, but you could always just use an MP3 and use the converter;

MP3-Wav

going from an mp3 to a wav loses a whole bunch of sound. It's much better to go from a wav to an mp3.

This is how you make it smaller (not sure if it works for macs but it works for windows)

Creating the Conversion Template:

  1. Open Sound Recorder (Most likely at 'START->PROGRAMS->ACCESSORIES->ENTERTAINMENT->SOUND RECORDER').
  2. Goto 'File->Properties'
  3. Click on 'Convert Now...'
  4. Select on the middle drop-down menu: 'Format: PCM'.
  5. Select on the bottom drop-down menu: '8.000 kHz, 16 Bit, Mono 15 kb/sec'
  6. Click on 'Save As...', type 'StarCraft' and click on OK.

Ew. That's beyond nasty.

Someone needs to make a proper wav compressor. blink.gif

Starcraft has its own sound converter/compresser. At least on macs.

This should be the end to your compression problem. This program works great!
