As you read this right now you're probably thinking,
What the 4311 is this immature idiot doing posting a topic on something that requires some maturity.
Well who knows.
ANYWAYS!
About luh-ve. (Sorry, but I'm going to be doing that alot.)
Luh-ve (For this topic using the definition of luh-ve as to have romantic feelings.).
Is luh-ve most of the time mixed up with lust now-a-days (Or has it always been?)?I think that it is. It always has been and always will be.Is luh-ve really truly possible or is just simply lust?I disbelieve that it is possible for humans to actually luh-ve one another, without lust.Is luh-ve bad?I have two opinions.
1) Luh-ve is futile to obtain, as in true luh-ve, there is no luh-ve among humans that does not have lust in it. Period. (At least, I don't believe that there is such an existance.)
2) Luh-ve is sweet. If you can ever hold it, keep it with you at all times. If you can ever obtain true luh-ve, meaning there are more strings holding than lust. What is true luh-ve?I believe true luh-ve can only be obtained by two that have no senses other than to read another's soul. No sight, no smell, no hearing.
For those can influence lust?A beautiful dream is to die alone. Without anyone to hold the burden. Alone without luh-ve.To me (Just because I'm queer (As in weird).) that is a beautiful dream.
Any augments? Comments? Etc...?
why didn't you just put LOVE. i was staring at that word for like 15 min im like "WTF? LEVY? UMM... LUVY?? I DONT GET IT"
- Is love most of the time mixed up with lust now-a-days (Or has it always been?)?Yes. It is mixed up with lust, and always has been. But then again, there are a lot of different kinds of love. You are thinking of True Love; "Selfless devotion and caring" (DT_Battlekruser). There is also bf/gf love; its mushy, happy, holdy, but probably wont last. There is also lust love; you just wanna feel them and f*ck 'em. There might be a mix of each when you feel love. There are a lot more kinds of love as well.
- Is love really truly possible or is just simply lust?Love is possible. Many kinds of love are. True love is possible.
- Is love bad?No. Never. May lead to bad things. But
Love isn't bad, it cant be bad.
- What is true love?A feeling that is hard to explain. I myself haven't felt it. Something you might not even know you feel, or something that might overwhelm you.

You are just depressed, or emo. You wont ever die without love, so I just crushed your dream. You wouldn't want to die without connections or bonds. Its useless to live if you have no love for anything.
Also, love is a lot more complicated than this. I tried to simplify it... thats never a good idea.
Is luh-ve most of the time mixed up with lust now-a-days (Or has it always been?)?
It is now, thanks to TV and the Internet.
Is luh-ve really truly possible or is just simply lust?
Oh, certainly. It's a sign of maturity.
Is luh-ve bad?
Uhh, no. What kind of question is that?
What is true luh-ve?
Selfless devotion and caring. Yes I'm a bit chivalric.
The heart wants what the wang wants.

Why didn't you just say Love?
True love starts with lust, but forms into True love. The greatest sensation in the world.
Love is way different than lust, so why try to say they are attached?
True love does not influence lust, because they are different entities. If you truely love someone, you could care less if you have intercourse with them.
Your dream is strange. A beautiful dream in my eyes, is to die with knowledge of being loved by the one that you care so much about.
Love is the worst thing that has happen to our race, but is also one of the best. Love can cause anything from falling in love with your highschool crush, to someone declaring war on a nation.

Why don't I just say the word correctly?(Various)
Duh! I'm an immature idiot.

The definition of luh-ve for this topic, is as to have romantic feelings for another.

That is partially why that would be a nice dream... sorta LOL.
The heart wants what the wang wants. (Doodan)
Wah!?
Love is way different than lust, so why try to say they are attached?(Kellimus)
Luh-ve for humans (And other organisms too?) is at first started with lust... right?
True love does not influence lust, because they are different entities. If you truely love someone, you could care less if you have intercourse with them.(Kellimus)
If you truly luh-ve someone, then how is it that you can say that you could care less if you have... with them? I for one have to disagree on that.
Love is the worst thing that has happen to our race, but is also one of the best. Love can cause anything from falling in love with your highschool crush, to someone declaring war on a nation. (StalingradK)
Mesa think that... for the human race, as in a whole, yes luh-ve is a good thing that it happended to them because it I3L00I)Y makes more of them faster.
It's a bad thing to them as a whole because it I3L00I)Y kills them off, (As StalingradK stated) for people may start a war against another for something like that. (Paris and the Golden Apple?)
Sorry for the long thingy again.
Sorry!
Orson Scott Card makes an interesting point in his later Ender books about the origin of a non-lusting feeling of love:
The instinct to sustain the species is divided between the want to make as many more of the species as possible (i.e. have sex as much as possible), and to ensure that each member of the species created reaches an age at which they can reproduce healthily (a desire to safely raise the children).
i don't give a dam about yer hat efor LOVE, if u don't believe in love, but in lust alone, but wish to believe in love, then love is something you will never find
lust is simply the WANT to do something with something/someone
while love is, well, how about i sing it???
lol, jk, but thats what happens in movies, and love stories in movies are crap, because they devulge the senses, and make u believe in 1 kind of love, when what your unconsciously looking for is another kind of love
love is an unforeseen attraction to a person that slowly grows inside you, and eventually blooms, it is impossible to MAKE someone love you, they may THINK they love you, but its just years and years of their mind beingm odeled into a form where you no longer push and prod at them but finally accept them
its also impossible to OBTAIN love, you don't obtain love, you realize THAT you love, and then love comes to YOU
love is not a conscious attraction to a person that happens when you first meet, yes, love at first sight is possible, but its not conscious love at first sight, its a "seedling" of love
the "seedling" grows on you until you have a very mild attraction to the person, you can't explain it, the person has just been growing on you, until it hits you, it finally comes, the realization that you LOVE
true love... that is something that can't be bought, can't be seen, can't be touched or smelled, it is something in an unconscious world, it is a miracle feeling that humans have only yet to discover...
When I first saw this topic i thought you were talking about "leh-vee"s. As in the New Orleans Levees that failed.

Is that not lust? Why is it then that you would not love a person that would appear unattractive but he/she would be soul-mates if you just got to know each other?
Humans can not look into the soul of another.
Or at least it's not known to be.
When you love, you have already looked into another's soul...

Amen. You can feel lust towards a wall, or a pie. But you can only truly love a person.*

Rofl
anyways no I wouldnt say its the most "Mixed-up" word in todays world because most words are mixed-up from how they are suppost to beYou guys live in a fairy tale world where true loves comes your way and you live happily ever after with the one person you truely love and have a nice family and a nice house in Orange County somewhere with a pool and two cars and you become VP of the company you work for and then retire at 55 and golf every thursday with your buddies and have grandchildren and help put them through collage... wow...
There are many kinds of love. There is lust, which is A love. Love and lust do get mixed up though, but depends on which love you're thinking about. Lust is when you want someone; you want to share pleasure with them. True love (the one you are all thinking about) is more than lust (although true love involves lust). You want to make them happy any way you can, be with them and just hold them, share experiences with them (good or bad), take care of them, etc...
Lust is not a bad thing. Infatuation is a bad thing (at a certain point). Obsessive is a bad thing. Lust is not. Without lust there would be no deep desire for intimate physical relations. Lust gives a certain sexuality true love cannot. Its the different between the rebel and the nice guy. Girls need a rebel, someone exciting and fun (lust), but they also want a nice guy to take care of them and basically be really nice to them (true love). Its best to have both.

What I'm gonna say is kind of off topic, but to me, that type of life is death. You live with pride serving someone else's machine (machine being a metaphor for way of life), while having no real ideas of your own. I'd rather build my own.
This is not complicated topic. There's love and lust. The end. Why the hell do people try to make this such a grey argument. So far, all I've seen do this, is teenagers and house wives.
If you feel that pointing out 1 or 2 counter examples throws off my generalization, then you're a fool.
This topic as already been laid out, dark was the last one to do so.

Btw... why doesn't anyone remember that the definition of luv-ve we... I planned to use on this topic is to have romantic feelings for another?
