How long does it take for news to get through?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Syphon on 2006-01-28 at 19:23:11
It takes until an admin or gmod aproves it.

It's taken over a week. And it is news t's a contest.

If it's been more than a week it's safe to say it's been denied.

... Why would a map making contest be denied? It make no sens to me isn't that what SeN's about?

We have no obligation in posting any contest, tournament or piece of news in the News.

Half the contests and tournaments hosted by members end up being disasters or just a half-assed attempt by a few people to make a name for themselves.

Quite frankly, SeN is a mapmaking site, not a mapmaking contest host.

The topic was denied because only SEN-endorsed tournaments go in News. It is perfectly possible to run a tournament without making a news post.

On average, it shouldn't take more than two or three days for a moderator to at least see your news post. Does that mean it gets in? No. For some reason, a lot of people seem to think the simple fact that they're having a tournament or something means they automatically get a news post. We are under no such obligations.
