Alright, everyone must have played SCV football at one point or another right? And how its absolutely nothing like football? You must have also played basketball at one point to, which is a well made map with innovative ideas. Also, you must have played baseball... who hasn't?
Anyway:
My idea is to combine these games into a map that will play and feel like real football, using all 4 different transports to effectively make a map that will be both challenging and fun. As in basketball, the 4 transports will be filled, but in this they will be filled with a lot more then just a shoot and pass unit. The QB would have a handoff, and pass to multiple wide receivers units, (high pass, medium pass, low pass. this changes speed and how easy it is to intercept). This is where the baseball theme comes into play, with different heights being used so that passes can be thrown over defenders. The defensive players would all have a tackle and an intercept unit. All of the receivers would have a catch unit, along with perhaps a lateral. Offensive linemen would have block units, dropping one would push a unit in a certain direction from where the lineman is at the moment (left, up, right, down... or maybe just back from QB).
There would be 6 players on each team. The QB would be an overlord, with upgraded carrying but not upgraded speed. The wide receivers would be shuttles with upgraded speed, and the defensive 6 players would be dropships with upgraded speed, 2 for each player. The running back and offensive linemen would be ygadzrill or however the hell you spell it. Each player would control 2,3 or 6 units, depending on whether the game is a full house or not. Unit pairings would be as follows:
QB+OL
RB+WR
OL+WR
Having more then 2 units would be challenging, but playable i believe, if the game was not full house. Any ideas or suggestions will be welcomed, and this will stay open until i finish my current 2 projects, which may be about 2-3 weeks or maybe a week. who knows

Anyway gimme feedback. The map hasnt been started yet.
