First of all, Hello. Im new to this site but not to map making. ive been doing it for years with just the regular old campaign editor vut now im looking to expand and get more serious. So my question are this. . .
I need a good editing program that can do alot but is organized enough for me learn on.
I would like it to have the tile layout.
then if at all possible a Read Me
I also need a program that can alter the look of units.
Say i wanted to make a lurker shoot yellow spikes
So if anyone knows of programs like these (which im sure are out there somewhere) plz drop me a line.

I'd reccomend either SCMDraft 2 or StarForge, both available in the DLDB.
To alter the appearance of units, you'll need a mod. If you're interested in modding, pay us a visit in the Modding forums.
