Discrimination.

I wonder something.
Why is it that people discriminate?
Why is it that some people believe that they are further superior than another, or a certain type of people is.

Why is it that people think they are better?
We all are pathetic little humans, all in the bounds of logic.

So.. comments? Questions? Additions? Etc...?

People discriminate for various reasons. However, sadly, some discrimnation has some slight truth to it.

Warning: if you get easily offended by political incorrectness, don't read this post

Notice how many of the olympic competitors for track 'n' such are black. They are genetically better for physical tasks. They are not the same as other races. Let's look at whites, naturally, very cunning, sly, but tries to seem like the "good" guy. Have you noticed how many lawyers are white? Whites are not the same as other races. Asians, we all know they're great with all the computer, math, and other left-brained activity. They are naturally better at stuff like that. Pigmentation is not the only difference among races. There are characteristics.

I'm not racist, and I know there are exceptions, but I'm simply pointing out there is some sad truth. We are different. Though it may be true, I see no reason as to hate each other, it's quite childish. Usually this will come from lack of interaction or even a bad experience.

If you read through serious discussion, you'll notice it's the same cycle of topics, once people run out of new things to talk about, they just recycle an old topic with a new name. Most topics have to do with love, religion, a recent natural disaster or war.

Heh, I'll start one of the complex mathamatical theories topics biggrin.gif
Yeah, discrimination usually comes from bad experiences or lack of knowlage. People are affraid of the unknown -> fear usually turns into aggression from feeling threatened -> this = discrimination. We are all a little discriminitory to some degree, even SiLeNt(U) lol, not just whites.

You bring up some good points

anyways the minorities can discriminate all they want and get away with it but when a white guy says something he gets jumped or something

People always say lets change our ways but that isnt possible they like how they are because there not the ones getting beat up over it. And the white man cant do anything against it because the minorities will overpower him.

Pigment has nothing to do with it, but where you come from. It just happens that most people from a certain area share the same skin color.

People discriminate because they are unable to realize that there are differences between people. When something goes wrong they blame the whole race. It's just a color. Deal with it.

All discrimination comes from parents. Children have no recollection of discrimination when they are born. They know nothing of it or what it is. In preschool the children play with each other freely and without any reason not to. They play with each other simply because they see each other as human beings. Unfortunately somewhere between preschool and becoming an adult, they become blinded by the world and forget that they are really humans. Never forget that they are really humans and you will see the differences are only skin deep.

People belive in superiority simply because they cannot understand what it means to be average. They always seek to become the best because it's their mindset. It's something they strife for. Sure it's not always the best thing to do, but the real end the the search for superiority comes with: attention. That's the sole reason why. If they became the best without any followers or attention, why would they do it? This yearning for attention is brought upon by their childhoods. Probably some truamatic experience that brings forth such thoughts.

We are all little people, but some people work harder then others. This sets them apart.

laugh.gif You actually think that the only reason ahve different skin colours is area?
You think that if I was to move to Jamaca I'd get Black, and dreadlocked?

People discriminate to things they aren't used to. People fear the unknown.

Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate. Hate... Leads to suffering.

I guarentee you that you could take a white baby and a black baby in one household and rasie them together, noyl allowing them to have white or blakc friends they'd be ok together.

Then you take an Australian baby and a Japanese baby and raise them in the same house the same thing will happen.

10 years later, introduce the white to the Asian, and the black to the Aussie. They WILL discriminate each other.

Don't blame me or Chuck Norris for being better than (not some people) but all people. It's not discrimination if it's towards everyone bleh.gif

Seriously though, people think this because they are opinionated ego-maniacs who most likely aren't completely healthy in the head.

I would say everything said by HolySin is accurate.
But keep in mind that in most of the cases of pigmentation/where you come from, 50%+ are exceptions to that rule.
There are more idiotic whites then cunning whites (Yes, I'm white. Simple observation), as well as more dumb asians then smart asians.
Almost all blacks are athletic, though.

Not in all cases. They would just wonder what the other person was. Indeed humans are afraid of the world and the things that are not normal, but what is there to hate? We must not take the starwars movie as an example of real life situations (your saying). They wont. They wont!

They wouldn't hate. But they'd be instictively more judgeing. If the other person screwed p the white might yell STUPID FARKING CHINK! Even though that's not a slur to the Japanese.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Red2Blue on 2006-02-03 at 19:35:44
But why is there that word "chink," oh wait, its because society made it up. You do know that society is a really big reason why you act in the way you do. Society dictates your reason. Thus words like "chink" are thrown upon you. Why? Because we all contribute to it.

A guy I know said this:
QUOTE
Humans have inbuilt instincts to defend themselves. If past experience dictates that I shouldn't do something, then I won't do it until I'm given a plausible reason why this time should be any different from the last.

With that, easily comes discrimination.

because we are human beings. We do and act without consern of others. It is human instinct to do what they are brought up with or from experiences. It will happen, no matter what.

Wow, people, discrimination comes from the fear of the unknown or bad experiences.

If you introduced the black to the assuie and the white to the asian there is no telling if they would be discriminitory. They would get to know eachother most likely and become friends or enemies (not because of color or origin but because of personalities). They MIGHT be racist, but they might not be.

Also, racism and discrimination dont come from parents. Parents can play a large role in it, but the children still have a choice to agree with the parents' views. Plus, some children might become racist and their parents aren't. This comes from fear of the unknown, or bad experiences.

1. The act of discriminating.
2. The ability or power to see or make fine distinctions; discernment.
3. Treatment or consideration based on class or category rather than individual merit; partiality or prejudice: racial discrimination; discrimination against foreigners.

I totally agree with you.. and you arent racist or w/e because u see these differences..

i remember not so long ago, here in quebec someone said the black people were less inteligent than white people.. and that guy had trouble with the media and stuff. this was pretty funny.. it shows how the people react when you try to talk about the differences between the races (races isnt the good word.. because we are all included in the human race.. but u know what i mean)..

if u do the same thing with a cat and a dog (i think cats are cooler because they relax and stuff and w/e can be the reason why i prefer cats.. people will just see that as i say my opinion.. but when u do the same thing with humans.. everyone wanna kill you..

opinions should stay opinions.. people shouldnt care about these..

ADDITION:

yeah i forgot about that..

of course there are exceptions..

there are exceptions in everything.. i should say that twice..

there are exceptions in everything.

so its just normal that we find exceptions in humanity too...

did u ever notice how people doesnt like the exceptions (differences) unless its a popular one (like a well-known genius or w/e)

another addition.. (thx to that automatic feature so i dont triple post roflol..

i never hated the terrorists.. (note for someone whos anti-terrorist: did i ever say i like em, no)

how could i hate someone (not one of em.. i mean the way they act/think or w/e) when you i dont really know em..

if the terrorists were people attacking the usa without any reason (without a good or bad reason).. they would be considered as 100% moron..

they have a reason.. w/e it is... they have one and they hate usa..

idc about usa anyway i never went there.. so i dont really know why they hate usa (or america) this is not very important since i dont really need an opinion about terrorism...

so basicly i cant hate something i dont really know (all we (americans) know of them is based on what we heard.. from the mouth of people who hates em.. dont make an opinion based on that..

if you hate the terrorists.. you should try to see why they did that.. try to get more than just what the americans say about em..

the best way to make ur own opinion is by getting more than 1 source to make it..

just dont hate someone u dont know.. u r doing a mistake
