Staredit Network -> UMS Assistance -> Cloaking Arbiter and having him attack enemeys?

Hey ppl,
I want to make a arbiter cloaked and be able to attack enemy's. The arbiter would be a comp attacking another comp. Is this even possbible to do? I want the arbiter to be centered moved on a curtain unit. Also if this is possible, is it possible to not let an arbiter have a cloaking feild? So if there were men around the arbiter that were on the same team they wouldnt be cloaked?

So to recap, I want to: Not let a arbiter have a cloaking field, with the same abiter be cloaked, and have that arbiter while cloaked be able to attack another comp.

Any ideas?
Thanks.

WARNING: This will only work on Windows.
Everyone keeps asking how to cloak units, and I see too many replies with the doodad setting triggers.

A good way to do it is to use a p14 scarab to freeze units. The scarab must be placed AFTER the units you want frozen, and the units you don't want frozen, but cloaked, must be placed after you place the scarab. For units to freeze and be visible, the player seeing them must have had vision with them when they were being frozen, so if they do not see it, they are invisible. Cover the map with arbiters owned by the computer player - make them invisible, and then place the units you want cloaked. Any unit, even sieged siege tanks, will be cloaked.

I played around and figured out how to freeze units with SF, and then I figured this out. I know a lot about special effects, so message me on SC @USEast if you need anything - I'll be happy to help.

LW: I know minerals are great, but please use quoteboxes/links.

I believe that one patch or another has made cloaking of arbiters completely impossible (including Daemon's method above).

I was pretty sure that arbiters didn't cloak allies' units - so to have an arbiter "not have a cloaking field", you might give the arbiter and the men around it to different allied players.

ok I understand this, You place the scarb and the unit will be cloaked. But, will that unit that is cloaked attack another comp.

Like for example, I want to cloak a arbiter. But I want the arbiter(comp8) that is cloaked attack (comp7) while he is cloaked.

Does this work?

I think so but if he die it will become hard to make a new cloaked arbiter(if it still works) i saw some maps cloaking units as they respawned but the guy did'nt wanted to tell me angry.gif
