Yes... For example if someone is showing a terrian with some screenshots,shouldn't there be some rating options for this? If someone show a map he made,shouldn't you be able to rate that? If someone had a good idea,shouldn't you rate it 10 if it was a great idea? Post what you think about this.

Stupid idea. You could jsut post your rating instead of doing another mod to this website. v5.0 is comign soon so don't worry.

That would require way too much coding for something to be replaced soon. Making the options, storing them and averaging them out in the MySQL and then displaying them in a piece of space that we somehow have to get our hands on. You can't say that there is space because there are smaller resolutions to think about.
Then we have to make it so that theres no way to exploit it.

Agreed, This idea isnt that good, totally pointless.

Topic rating wouldn't be terribly hard to code, it would just be too easy to abuse. I mentally devised a way to keep track of the averages and voting in a few seconds, but I can't think of a way to keep people honest in their voting.

I know, make it so the voting option is available only if you post in the thread. Besides thats not that bad even if people would abuse this, I mean there are polls and they work fine even if few retards vote for stupid stuff

And you can edited yoru rating in your post. But to yoru description, you can't edit it when you vote.

The general idea is trash...but maybe if we think about this we can get something we could use that's better then a rating system....? (dont ask i dont have anything in mind )

Poll is another thing. Rating could been 1-5 instead too. I mean... For example this forum: www.facepunchstudios.com (click the pic) there is like that. Rating wrong wouldn't do any much. If someone make a thread about a terrain he is showing off,shouldn't there be a rating option so you can rate his terrain? Poll is long away from a rating option on normal topics. IPB 2.1.x has topic rating system built in. You can use it as terrain rating.

If you really want to rate them, you could do it mentally, and then remember what you rated each, as your opinion on a thread is different from other people's.
