Now, there will be Halo 2 for the PC version, except that you will need to use a next-gen PC called Windows Vista. If you want more information go to: (Click any links below)

Wow, finally Halo 2 will come out for PC. Problem is...I probably won't get Windows Vista :/ Oh well, they have an excuse for making it only for Vista (more marketing for Vista...)

I had Halo 1 and the aiming seemed very slow compared to CS, even though I turned sensitivity to max. I won't play if it requires a monthly payment.

The sword also ticks me off. I mean it's not even a sword, more like a katar. Anyway, I saw my friends play with it and whoever got the sword would go on a killing spree.

I guess I'm content with what I have, CS.

I usually melee the sword people while too close.

Its easy to own people who have the sword if you see them coming, otherwise I'd agree its a bit too strong.

I really don't like the idea of having to purchase microsoft's newest operating system to play halo 2 on the pc, it just seems like ripping us off. Bungie's newspost giving reasons for not making the game backwards compatable makes me sick, they claim that somehow vista will offer graphical improvements ingame, and that these improvements are nescesary for a game that ran on the [bold]XBOX[/bold] to run on PC. Last I checked, windows XP is perfectly fine for running games that make Halo 2 look downright ugly, so why, suddonly, is it nescesary for the PC adaptation to be run through vista, which requires, simply to run, a computer with graphics hardware supiror to an Xbox.
This is really just shameless marketing of an OS thats otherwise pretty much all shiny graphics and features that third party programs already add to windows.

Who would buy a whole computer for a game. it was fun but no game is worth it. It is bad marketing. They will soon make it out for reg Pc and i will buy it.. Only than..

Yeah, I'm not going to buy Halo 2 now because it needs to run on Vista. If my computer could handle Vista and run smoothly then I would get Vista, since I can get it for really cheap, along with Halo 2 but the problem is that I need to either upgrade my computer or buy a new one. Something I will not do.

KrAzY...Your sig is too big...

And Halo 2 For Windows Vista means a whole new generation of graphics for the game.

Or, it means paying too much for an OS filled with extra crap, in order to play a game you can play on the XBox.

I'm not wasting my time on this one, and if you have to pay an online fee... Jesus, what a rip off.

Viva la 2000, baby!

Halo2 (and Halo1)! The only games that xbox is really known for! Yea! Of course they have to soak as much profit off at as they can. They can't compare to nintendo and their huge mario franchise. Seriously, how can you compete with Mario? How can you compare with SSMB? Huh?

And PS2 has all the big hitters! Yea! Sony! Final Fantasy!

I probably won't get another comp for 2-4 years, and even then it would be up to my brother to buy the game. My parents won't let me get M.

Vista's going to be a spectacular failure. No thanks, I guess no Halo 2 for me... disgust.gif

Yes. How the hell does Halo2 (32-bit technology which is nearing its second year of age) require Vista (64-bit technology which hasn't even been released yet!) to work properly? It makes no sense!

I've officially lost all respect for Microsoft (personally, not professionally, as they still make the best operating systems out there, and Age of Empires).

Why would a first person shooter cost monthly payments?

Microsoft has offically sealed the deal from anyone buying Halo 2 in the next 2 years. Good jobs morons. They probably thought "Oh maybe since Halo 2 has to run on Vista people will buy it!!" Maybe if you guys weren't, retarded. You'd get bigger sales from Halo 2 on XP and then lower the price of Vista so everyone can get it? Hur hur?

He was talking about your previous sig, which was over 100kb, even though the mods don't care, I see so many people with too large of signatures/avatars.

Its a marketing ploy. Uber Halo 2 freaks will buy it because they are uber halo 2 freaks. Microsoft gets a bonus in sales because they have an awesome game that will play on it.

you know halos on like microsoft products only... because bungie is microsoft owned company/team. and since its such a hit, they are getting so much profit.

Yes, we knew that, but it's almost painfully obvious to most of us that Halo2 will work quite easily on 32-bit systems, and they're trying to push their ubercool new OS on us, just so we can play a year-old game on an obviously-superior PC.
