Ok, I'm not at my host so only have SCM draft to work with (I can't use starcraft to test it with). So usualy I would test this stuff but don't have a way to and have absolutly nothing else to do so...
Ok I am useing the option that lets you pick individual squares and place them on the map (the ones where it has about 100 pictures of each of the diferent possible terrains (the stuff used to make the banner of this site)). I want to make a multiple level map that might have multiple levels of going down.
Ok so here is the basic problem, ok they start on high ground, they go to low ground, now if I want them to go one lower I have to move them to high ground again but I want to do this without a ramp, so my first question is if I have a setup like below
_______________________________
| low ground | high ground | ramp | low ground
_______________________________
where the lowground just kinda fades into the highground (square for lowground is right next to square with high ground) then will the units just walk from lowground to highground, or will it look like an invisable wall? also there is the problem that the unit won't be able to see to the highground till he is right next to it.
So does anyone have answers, or suggestions on how to get around this? Also I realize that this is going to take alot of time to get all the squares to match up so it dosen't look half assed, but I got nothing better to do so...
edit...
ugh, and can you make north west and north east facing ramps using the tileset selection, I don't want to waste time on it and have it not work.
Shouldn't this be in terrian

oh, no clue there was a whole forum dedicated to this topic, ok well I guess my question then mianly is, can this stuff be used to make melee maps? how dose the diferent levels of a bridge work (will a short ramp from high to low (on jungle, constructed from large ramp tiles) to let a unit go from low to high? what about no ramp? is there a thread explaining using this stuff in melee maps? and are there any melee maps that have alot of this stuff in it?
Yes this is possible by merging the normal "low ground" onto the back of "high ground" then on the other side make a ramp.

what do you mean by the back of high ground? do you have an example?
and placing individual tiesl dosen't go towards my sprite limit right?

No

Make highground, then use individual tiles to make a "ramp" to go right on it, then make a regular ramp somewhere else.

nice lol
i think the real question is can u blend from low to high then make a ramp. i'd suggest blending into bridge then into ruins then into high ground.
Ya, with some time you could blend it.
180 seconds with speed tileing per 50 tile long area of custom
wuh!? woodenfire knows math!? omG omGOMG!
