i know that some of you want to learn photoshop(or another image editing program other than MS paint tongue.gif) so i decided rather than teaching you guys on an instant messanger personally i can teach a lot of you in the forums.

Tool Bar Window

so first of all you must know the basic tools that you will be using.
user posted image
this is the toolbar and guess whats in it :0 TOOLS! (sorry that the text doesnt really match up with the tools) anyway the ones in red are the ones that you will use more often. the ones in white you hardly use. as you can see there is a little triangle on the bottom right of some buttons. that means that there are other tools in that catagory.

some of these tools are obveous by thier name. (words with an underline means that its a subtool) (tools with a * at the end will be explained furtur in the second part)

Selection- there are several shapes that you can select things in. this tool is for selecting things that have basic geometric shapes.
Lasso- there are several differnt lassos that you can use. one of these is the magnetic lasso it will select anything with the similar color. a very useful tool to take out renders is the polygonal lasso. *
crop- not important
healing patch- this is used a lot in photomanipulation. it sort of blends wrinkles/scratches ect to make it look good as new.
clone stamp- this tool copies a section from one part of your canvas and applies it to another. simply hold down ALT and click on the source spot.
eraser- This tool erases(duh)
smudge- The smudge tool is used to smudge colors it is very useful when making clouds. the blur tool blurs stuff. the sharpen tool defines edges better... it does not work very well.
pathselect- not important
pen- not important
notes- not important
hand- This tool changes your view incase you dont want to use the scroll bars.
main color- This is the main color of your tool
secondary color- this color is used on gradients, it is not used a lot.

move- This tool moves whole layers unless you select a certain part.
magicwand- this tool selects colors that are similar to it.
slice- not important
brush- not important(jk) this is one of the most important tools. *
history brush- this tool will revert wherever you brush it back to when it was first opened. ie. you manipulate a picture of a guy. you totally screw up his picture and you want his eyes to be back the way when u opened the file. so you use the history brush.
fill- the fill tool equivelant to the paint bucket in MS paint. it fills up all of the same color. The gradient tool does excelent shading from one color to another. *
burn- The burn tool darkens whatever part you want for shading or whatever. The Dodge tool lightens an area its the anti burn tool :0 The Sponge tool increases the saturation of a color ie. a greyish green will turn greener.
text- The text tool is obveous. its there to make text *
shape- the shape tool can create geometric shapes (squares circles etc) but one of its greatest uses is the line tool. its good to make lines if you have an unsteady hand with the brush.
eye dropper- The eyedropper tool takes the exact color from where you want it to and changes your main color.
magnify- figure it out.

First part of tools introduction is complete.

Part 2

Future intros-
Layers Window
Blending Modes
Filters
Image Ajustments
Layer Styles
Etc etc.

Please feel free to comment/suggest/praise my work. (usually people pay big bucks to learn photoshop +_+)

Brush Options-

For Those of you having trouble finding the differnce between flow and opacity, Opacity is the transparency of the brush. Flow is like restraining the power of it so if you go over a spot twice it will become darker.

Fill Options-

Tolerance decides how fine you want your selection/fill to be. a lower tolerance means that the selection/fill will define the differnces in pixels more. 32 is the default.
Contiguous Means that you just want to select/fill the area or the whole canvas with the same color/shade pixels.
All Layers If you want to select/fill an area that is only on that layer you uncheck this box. But if you want to select/fill using all of the layers you check this box.

Text Options-

Zombie, just click on the quote button for the top and for the second one and "add reply" Doing this will automatically "strip" all codes from the posts for you (inside of a quote box btw). No need to ask him for it.
