Hey i am planning on a sig contest.. like seriously a weekley sig contest.. i think we have enough people to do it now... we can brainstorm in this thread on how its going to work out well... becuase ms paint contest is over XD

i wanted to make a desktop background contest. but a sig contest sounds good. ill join in.

I think one of the rules should be...
A person may not enter more than 3 signature, however only 1 will be on the tops.

we should just have a weekly graphic arts contest. like one week we make sigs, next avvies, backgrounds, banners etc.

or if you want to stick to signatures there should be themes.

Avvies = teh suck, desktops = teh k, tags = teh awesome.

how about we just have a S.O.T.W. (sig of the week)??? it'll be a art & images subforum, and there can be an "experts" sotw and "beginners"sotw or a "photoshop"sotw and "mspaint"sotw or just an all out SOTW, where, each week, in the subforum theres a topic posted where u enter yer sig, then when the entering ends, a poll for the winner starts, and the new week's entrance topic is started

No themes. Themes are boring. I was sad when they announced themes for mapping contest T.T .

Um. I would participate, but im not good as boyscout or the many others.
Weekly would seem kinda hasslesome. So much to do in one week. The mspaint contest took like 2.5 weeks to finish up and mellow out. Like kyahh!

if not SOTW, then SOT2W, lol, Sig of the 2 weeks, or even SOTM (sig of the month), like compile the sotw/sot2w's and have a battle seeing which of them is best, then there could be a SOTY (sig of the year), and like, compile the SOTM's and have a tourney between them



however, either way, you should only be able to enter a sig for a SOTW/SOT2W once, cuz if u got runner-up once, then entered it the next week, that would be very unfair...

i think not. This is a thing called STARCRAFT MAPPING SITE i'm sure the admins dont want to keep making subforms for a group of people, Posting one topic with rewards doesnt not hurt. No themes should apply. No restrictions, A freestyle SOTW should take place. With rewards of course with 'boys' choosing, also entry fees, Not to expensive but its up to 'boys'

okay, well i think all we need now are some rules and regulations

We should have rules and stuff and judge will be done by the people. And i will only count the ones that sound fair in reasoning. So like they just cant pick random ppl... And if someone post a reason why they like it you cant post exactly what they said you have to atleast change a few words to make it seem like its a little different XD...

For prizes I hope we can somehow get that set up... Not to expensive thats what im looking forward to. Maybe no prize at all... But if were really lucky and able to make this go on for a while, we can ask mod to like pin up just a few sigs... Like hall of fame sig which might be cool

Well we can talk more about this it needs a lot of thoughts into it espeically the prize and so no one can keep winning... And ill prob monitor this a lot becuase i get on sen a lot lol

i think we shouldn't be able to enter sigs other people made for us, or sigs we made for other people, just because...

as far as prizes go... maybe 100 minerals for the winner, and 75 for the runner-up?

Ok entry fee is 10 minerals (might go higher, or even free up to you guys). And the prize will come directly from the total fee earned. Will try to have one every week, there will be a theme but it will be big enough so everyone can try lots of different stuff. For instance a theme might be Starcraft, because without a theme this actually will be kind of odd. The judge will be the people and I will count if there votes count or not, they must post the reason why they pick the person. The sig has to be recent (we prob cant catch you but if you were posting it around then we will catch you XD ). It doesn’t have to be exactly for you can be a present but people need to know its you lol...

I'm contemplating it. The thing is, a good sig takes work, I hate work. On the other hand, I havn't really done much lately. Such a difficult decision!

a week is enough to make decent sig trust me... or you guys just dont know how to make a sig... i mean wall paper bigger project yea sure they take months to make it good but a small sqaure where most of you guys get a premade render takes a week...
