im making an rpg and im running out of string quickily. here are a couple of questions i have. thanks in advance!

1) Can the string limit actually be extended beyond 1024? and if so how much can the limit be extended by?!
2) What program/how do you extend it?

Please answer those two questions...thanks! biggrin.gif

If u are using starforge, i think u can extend it, but u might need to reuse strings (like using uberation). Ive seen some maps surpass it somehow...

To my knowledge you can't, you need to find ways to reuse or not use a lot of the strings.

You can. If you already hit 1024, opening it up in GUEDIT should automatically extend it.
This can cause incompatibiltity with Staredit and any Staredit based editor(X-Tra for instance), so use at own risk.

I remember that BSTRhino got a map that worked in starcraft that had 2500 strings.
