Pretty interesting, but when you click on the unit being attacked, it crashes Starcraft.
After playing around with this for a while, I've found something rather interesting, units that have attacks that simply appear on their targets create their hit sprites behind (to the right) of themselves, this might be useful for cool special effects, if the exact positioning can be figured out (Currently things are a bit iffy, it might be slightly randomized where the sprites appear.)
YYYEEESSS!!!I had a map I wanted to make with this and now I can do it again!
it crashed me
would this work on melee since its sprites an all?
if it is ill be making a "things you didn't know that could work on melee map"
It's not a sprite, it's an extended unit. Don't click on it.
Rantent, its size is a little different. It's like 130 tiles to the right and 0 to the left.
I'm too lazy to download it. What is it?

I'm too lazy to tell you. Why don't you download it?
Extended units are units that arn't actually in starcraft, but the product of some kind of memory overflow when a nonexistant unit number is input in a map editor.
Its extended unit number 2008, it is a zergling with sheilds that has a marine wireframe, static portrait, and no attacks.
Its important feature, however, is that it can be attacked from any range.
Lots of people have already found this works again. (I checked in this when I found it again (well.. my friend). He (my friend) thought it was EUD
)
Awesome. I'm curious as to whether other extended units from the 1.11b patch work again, some of them had useable effects. I'd test it if I had StarCraft working properly, -_-
Send me a list of the units that had cool effects and I would be willing to test them, although I have a feeling that most of them won't have the same effects, the vast majority of the units I tested a few patches ago now have different effects than in the past.
