I was testing and finishing up my old open rpg. I started upgrading the shield so i can go afk and attack and not die. After a while i went to fight the zealots. I put them to 24 damage (12). My shield upgrade was 11. My dark templar had 40 shield with 11 shield upgrades. So i went to fight the zealots i thought the shield was going to go down in 2 hits, but instead it went down by 2. So the zealot's damage is originally 12 but since it attacks twice no matter what it still does 12 and not 24 and it cant bypass the shield or armor upgrade
Obviously now, it just does two hits which add up to the number displayed when you hover over the attack. It's the same with all units that have two hits, like firebat, goliath, et cetera.
Yeah, I always thought it should show it as something like 12x2 damage, but I guess a lot of people might get confused then.
Melee wouldn't be very balanced at all if Zealots were running around doing 16 x 2 damage... anyone who's played that shouldn't be getting confused.
